And why?

For me its Standard Products. Something about a company with no business making guns, that did and did it well.

I feel like "oh winchester you massed produced a rifle?" WOW!!!!! (sarcasm)

I have an IBM, an Inland and an aftermarket whose name escapes me (cerebral flatulence), but I voted for Rock-Ola. A juke box company making rifles for the war effort? How cool is that?

I have two Inlands, but if I could have had an IBM and a Rock-Ola, well, that would just be too cool. The thought of a typewriter and jukebox company stepping up to help in the war effort by making what turned out to be a front line rifle is pretty damn neat. Talk about companies with no business making guns! My GM's are nice too, got them from the CMP because the price was right for Inlands and I felt I needed to act quick and that's just the way it worked out. I have one in the correct serial number range that would make a great M1A1, but no way can I afford the real stock. Maybe some day.

Winchester, Because am pretty sure thats what my Grandpa Had in WWII. Unforuturely he died before I was old enough to talk to him about the war. So most stories come from my Uncle

The National Postal Meter, cause thats the one that I have, pics after I get finished restoring it. The guy that had it before me decided to rasp the stock down at the grip to make it look more like a sporting stock. [Bang][Rant1][Bang] I am down to just the stock and when I find the one I want, it will be completely restored back to NPM, other than that just a few of the extras that went with it. The rifle fires fantastically, I have never had a problem, the guy before me had a problem with ejectors breaking. I suspect he had something misaligned or extremely dirty. It was in bad shape when I got it. The wife has her sights on it, she thinks that it is hers now. Fat chance on that, they are great little guns.

I hear they don't like steel ammo and that will usually break and extractor.

ive shot wolf steel case through one of my inlands and except for jamming once in awhile it did ok
could be just fouling from the ruski ammo
