I found a great place to get an upper built. I was reading AR riflemen magazine and they were testing 6.5 Grendel rifles and the author was sent an upper from a place called J&T distributing. The price on the upper via the article was really good and I am really interested in a 6.5 so I gave em a look see. Well the web site is kind of a joke. Okay that night be a little bit harsh but browsing them is not intuitive and when you try to figure out how to change caliber you can't find it. So I gave em a call; they are located in Kentucky and are really nice guys. I told then how I wanted to set up the gun and he gave me a price:

20" bull chrome barrel
National match aluminum free floating fore grip
chrome bolt carrier group
rail gas block
flat top
Built for...... wait for it........ $540 [Tooth]
they do basically any caliber and in the article I read there rifle had as good a performance as any of the major builders that sent guns for about half of the money. Brands make me moist like the next guy but I'm having one built for me next month when I get tax refund in.
