Anybody have a line on some prairie dog shooting?
I don't think the hippies here in Boulder would like it too much I opened up on the little rats around here.....

Black tailed prairie dogs are a protected speicies in CO east of I25. West of I25 most counties have banned the hunting of them includeing Boulder county. If you want to shoot praire dogs Wyoming is your best bet.
And Welcome aboard :)

I know you can shoot them as pests on private land, it is just getting the permission from the ranch owners that I am clueless about. This group has prairie dog shoots all summer, but my schedule never seems to match up with theirs. http://www.wildlifehuntersofco.com/
Wyoming does seem to be a safe bet though.

Yes and No I have spoke with division of wildlife about this. You can only shoot them for VERIFIABLE damage control. I know people are shooting them anyway I just don't wish to get a huge fine and possibly loose my hunting privileges.
