What caliber is your mac? If it is 9mm bring it I love those zip guns. I have half a case of 9mm winchester and the only 9mm gun I own is a POS tech 9 pre-ban that is just a collectors piece. My ammo safe is bulging need to make room.

Hunter CO, Mac is in 9mm. I was going to bring it anyway for AR Will to shoot, so bring some rounds. You Know, If you talk REAL NICE to Karl, he might let you shoot some of that ammo thru his uzi. 8) Ryan
Why is the weather nice midweek and crappy on the weekend? If the weather is decent, I'll be there.

Talk nice to Karl? I let him have a free mag out of my m16 at the last shoot he owes me. :P I was going to shoot it but Tora was haveing so much fun I let it go. Plus I have shot Alans uzi many times and I shot your uzi at the old spot in WP.
Do you really want me to stroke Karls uzi ego by begging.
At the rate this site is going there is going to be MG shoots every month. :D

I may not be able to afford ammo, but I'm thinking I'll come just to hear all the FA fire  Don't worry, If you show up, you can shoot. I just put the "bring ammo" thing in there for those(like me) that won't be satisfied with just one or two mags. I,ll never deny anyone the opportunity to shoot any of my guns just because you don't have ammo. I think that you wiil find that most all of the "usual suspects" on this board think the same way. :D Ryan
HunterCO
02-22-2006, 19:22
Ditto on what Ryan said I don't mind giving somebody a free mag. If you want to shoot several mags then you supply the ammo after the first. The people who want to use their own ammo can put as many mags as they wish through it.
PsychoI3oy
02-23-2006, 01:43
Cool, thanks guys!
Now to see if I can afford ammo for my own stuff. Worse comes to worst, I've got most of a box of 22.

02-26-2006, 17:14
Do any of you that are planning on attending this shoot have a chronograph or have used one?
I have never used one but I just bought one from Cabelas. I want to test some loads for my .300 Ultra mag. I have a box of factory remington 180 swift scirocco's. I loaded up a box of my own just curious how they will compare.
I was hopeing I could borrow a little table space from some of you and we could set my table up length wise to use the chrony. If any of you want to use it your welcome to.
What kind is it? I can Bring My Camera Tripod, Thats what I set mine on. If it will work. Are there threads on the bottom?
HunterCO
02-26-2006, 18:17
It is this one don't know if it can be hooked to a camer stand or not. I just ordered it today should have it around wed. when it shows up I will let you know if it can hook to a camera stand.

The shoot spot is about 10 miles north of WP off of highway 67. Any of you coming from the Denver area can always meet with me and follow me to the shoot spot. Then you wont have to go all the way to WP then back to the shoot spot. From C470 and Belview its about 60 miles to the shoot spot. I take 285 to pinejunction then south to the shoot.
About a 15-20 min. drive up 67 from the McD's We start meeting about 9:30 and try to leave about 10:00.
Since Your in CS, it would be easier to go to WP.
For those that are wondering, the location is actually in Dougco.

I took that way, sorta, back from the shoot in November. It was many miles of nasty washboard (not fun in the Mustang) and finally hooked up with the paved bit out of Pine Junction (forget what it was - 67?). Is that the way you go?

That was the old shoot spot you took the dirt road into rampart range. The new place is pavement all the way. :)
We were trying a "shortcut" back home after the shoot. Asha'man took the scenic route.
I think I'm going to try going from Sedalia to Oxyoke and then down 67 to the shoot site. I need to learn more about the area since I plan on doing a bit of fishing in that area of the Platte this year.

We meet at McDonalds between 9:30 and 10:00AM then, at 10:00, we head for the range. We arrive around 10:30ish. We shoot 'til all the bad paper/steel/golf balls/etc are dead. Then we usually head home. Except in July, then you guys all take me out to dinner for my birthday. Karl.

Thanks I'll see if I can get it worked into the schedule. Baseball & Softball season for the kids are already getting going. Does anyone bring kids, all of mine love to shoot, whether its airsoft or .22 they like being out with me.
Will anyone have a Ar-15 with a 2 stage trigger in it that I can shoot? I am thinking of installing one in one of my ar's and would like to see if I like it before I drop $100+.
toptier has a 2 stage in his new RRA. dont know if he's going or not.

Go north on highway 67 to mile marker 88.5 (no, theres no marker at the half mile points). That's just about maybe a mile north of the turn off to Rainbow Falls or about two miles past Manitou Lake. It's real easy to miss the turn. It's a forest service road to the left. It parallels the highway for about 50 yards, then turns west. Go in about 500 yards, the spot is on the right. If he can see the marker for the road, IIRC, it's FS343. Karl.

I'll have to catch you guys on the next Southern shoot. Just got word from my wife the in-laws are going to keep the kids that weekend so we are planning a quick get away. I'll plan on attending in May, maybe April.
I might bring my newly build ak-47
I don't have a problem with you giving them a go and being ruined to a mil-spec trigger forever.
Thanks, I'll be there. $91  Do you have a link to that?
It figures. I just caught the extended forecast and the weather is supposed to be wet and nasty later this week and through next weekend.
Yea, Thats what I was hearing also. Wait and see I guess.
Sorry guys,
Doesn't look like I can make this one. :(
I lost the front passenger wheel, on my Cruiser, while I was on Hwy 24 Sat. , so my Cruiser is currently in the shop for a little while. :x :x
 Can't we schedule these shoots for Mondays and just have an understanding that the shoot is the previous Saturday? Maybe it will fake out this trend in the weather.
Maybe We'll try that out for the next one.
Does sound like it's coming through earlier tha expected though. Maybe theres hope.
if this happens and Willyswagon makes it, can someone from "up north" grab my dremel kit from him? Get it a little closer for pickup.

Do we need to bring our own ammo to shoot?
Turns out I don't have to work today, so I made myself a deal. Self, I said, if you get a satisfactory amount of studying and homework done today, you can go shooting for at least a partial day tomorrow. Sounds good, I said. ;)
So if I get my shit done today, I'm down for tomorrow. I don't think I wanna go the roundabout way, though, so if anyone's going from 285 or Sedalia, I might want to hook up with you. Gman, HunterCO?

Decent weather. :) Started snowing hard here as soon as I got home, I bet it's worse down there. Except for the wind, which I countered by loading mags in my truck, it was a pretty decent day. Sorry I showed up so late, but thanks to Ryan for letting me ripple off a mag from the M16. :D :D :D I gotta get me one of those. ;) I clearly need more practice with my Glock, but today was good for that; no waiting on other people to clear the range and redo targets.
Can't wait for next month's shoot - might get my dad to come, and hopefully the damn weather will be nice. :D
