HB06-1246, the Castle Doctrine/Stand Your Ground Act, sponsored by Representative Cory Gardner (R-63) has been introduced and assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. This important piece of legislation creates a presumption that a defender who uses deadly physical force against an intruder has a reasonable fear of imminent death or serious bodily injury to himself or another person, sets forth conditions under which the presumption does not apply and adds vehicles and places of temporary lodging to the locations in which the presumption applies.
