This is my beautiful ak.... works fully clicks and clacks just like it should. Now all i have to do is test fire it. If voulunteers step up well, be my guest. If not than i'll just tie the thing to a tree, tie some string to the trigger stand maybe 20 yards away and pull it from their.

Anyways here is what it looked like when i came back from the build party.

Hey Thomas,

That is a good looking kit. Since we headspaced the rifle a 'few' times, you should be good-to-go on that.

Fire that puppy.

Kyle

Tom,

What are you going to use as a finish on that rifle?

Those photos wont show here. ARFCOM only allows paying members to view those, that means no hotlinks. Karl.

well we don't know where to begin, so we are looking for someone to give us direction. so if you don't mine driving up to denver, we can host it at my friends shop. there is plenty of room over there.

midwest arms says the flat needs to be heat treated when it is done being bent, is this something that we need to worry about?

Nice looking build Delphi! Congrats! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v191/titan68/Smilies/anim_beer.gif

By chance, are you ever get called "Lenard Lawrence" or "Gomer Pyle"? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v191/titan68/Smilies/anim_peep.gif

Photobucket.com is an easy place to upload and post pictures from. It's all I ever use.

No, heat treating the receiver is easy with a Mapp Gas torch. Heat the 4 FCG holes & ejector on the left rail to a orange/yellow color and quinch it in water (some use an oil/salt combo). Then clean the receiver off and heat the same area's till they get to a blue/purple and let air cool. You're done. It doesn't take long. I can't promise coming up for a build party, lot's going on here with AK's being one of 'many' projects. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have though. I may be able to loan you the jig if someone from the Springs goes to the build party you host.

I'm unable to post pics from my Ofoto gallery, this sucks.
They show up on my comp, but only because I originated the pics.
Thanks for the heads up Marlin
