Hi,

I searched other threads/posts and didn't find what I was looking for, so sorry if this question has been asked/answered previously....

Are there any halfway decent lasers for use as a back up on an AR platform that aren't $700 plus? I would like something that was reliable/visible for the 10-50 yard range for everything from plinking to small game hunting to ???. Theoretically I would like one that is mounted in a VFG; I've seen several around $100, but they seem really cheap. I'm typically a "you get what you pay for" kind of guy, but can't afford $700+ for a back up...

Your thoughts/experiences/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

The laser on the streamlight tlr-2 is a decent laser I got one in a trade and I like it. Tlr-2 run around 200-250 range and you get a very good light with it as well.

You can also try the Crimson Trace MVF-515. Choice of either red or green laser.

The MVF is a vertical grip that also has a light and laser built in. From what I've seen, nice little piece of hardware. Though price can be a deterrent.

Crimson trace as well as Lasermax both have platforms for the AR15. Google 'em.

Thanks again for the input...I found pretty good deals on the lasermax, think I may have to try one until I can afford something better. Thanks...
