While I agree that it sounds wonderful and SHOULD be in place, I honestly believe that it'll never pass.
This state, particularly our state's elected, lean most heavily to the liberal "you need to be protected from yourselves" kind. Because of that, I honestly don't think it will pass.
If enough representatives get enough calls from their constituents...

It will probably get shot down. Most decent pro gun legislation does. Still need to keep pushing. Sign the petition, start another petition, call the reps., donate to the org. of your choice. Still need to keep introducing new people to guns and gun culture, plinking, hunting, competition, collecting, self protection whatever. Just take a newbie shooting. Then another voice can be added to the call for true gun rights.

I'd imagine that if you wanted to carry outside of CO you'd still have to pay for a permit.
I signed the petition. I'll contact reps too.

I signed it... put the wifes name down too!
I regret that I have but one name to sign.
Anyone up for my idea of issuing passenger on commercial aircraft handguns as the board? Like pillows and headsets. You would have to return it when you arrive at your destination. It has to be cheaper than the current security set up. I'm just sayin. [Coffee]

I signed it. We should keep trying to get this passed and other good legislation until it does get passed.
Signed

No, but it'll certainly be handy when this gets shot down.
Why does Vermont always get a pass on this issue. Vermont is the state where you don't need a permit to carry concealed. You never hear of lib's trying to change the law in Vermont. Maybe the gun grabbers are taking the list of states in an alphabetical fashion. I guess the question is : What makes Vermont's Law successful?

"the 2nd Amendment is my right to carry"
Yes, it is. Screw the extracurricular paperwork. I hope it makes A LOT of headway.

Would be great but doubtful it'll ever pass in our lifetime. Hey, wait a minute, since I'm going on 75 you much younger boys in your early 20's may just see it pass (some day).[Beer]
Its good for every if it passes. There is no downside to this. Alaska has a similar law so does Arizona. Wyoming maybe next in the list. Do we really want to come in after Wy?

A constitutional carry law in Colorado wouldn't allow you to carry in other states, you'd still need the license if you want to protect yourself outside of the Colorado box
I travel to visit family in Michigan and I have to plot my trip around the wall of states to the left of Michigan that don't recognize our CCW

What makes Vermont's Law successful?
Its been that way since Vermont became a state.
Frankly if it wasn't already this way I doubt it would pass in today's Vermont.

The only reason it might not pass in VT today is because everyone open carries instead.
You don't see the ones that don't. That's the idea.

what also won't be fun is if it does pass the military here in the springs will probably prohibit soldiers from carry just how they did in AK.

Hope fully we can get this passed!!!
If wanted to we could call the Gov. office and say we support it. However, if we talk about dispensaries and how its Bush's fault and global warming he might think his base wants this too and he might support it?

LOL, that's a good tactic, who's going to be the first to call?

Got the email, signed the petition, not counting on anything either but hey...
Wife and I just electronically signed. Would it count if I put all my kids down also? [Tooth]
I think the dispensaries are a good idea and have no problem talking about it. I think they are going to ruin everything with all the new legislation and just blow up the black market again.

I weighed in and thanks for the link. [Beer]
I think children should get a say. I didn't get to speak out before the 86 machine gun ban and I have regretted it everyday since turning 21.
