Im currently in the process is building a 10mm Ar, got the upper ordered, lowers is ready waiting to be paired up, here's the specs;

Cav arms mkII lower with standard carbine buffer
Hahn Grease gun adapter block
16 in custom upper from Delta company arms, (http://www.deltacompanyarms.com/)
upper fires from a closed bolt using carbine length gas system, didnt really trust the olympic arms blow-back upper

Cant wait to get it running, Aaron at delta company said hes too swamped with 300blk orders to play with 10mm, so hopefully it runs like a champ

this sounds awesome! Can't wait to hear your review. How much wait for the upper?
Do you have some loads cooked up for it yet?

Have you already placed your order?
There is some issues with the gas gun pistol cal uppers.
Specifically when using cartridges like the 10mm. There are so many different gas pressures depending on bullet weight and how neutered the 10mm load is.
I'm sure it will run well, but probably only with heavy, hot expensive loads like double tap.
If it is tuned for off the shelf ammo it will get beat up by ammo like double tap.

See why I ask?

The Olympic style is actually preferred in most pistol calibers. Colt and others have repeatedly tried to get manufacturing rights for the Olympic pistol caliber style upper and have been refused repeatedly. Olympic tried the gas gun pistol cal uppers and had the problems I mentioned above.... that is the reason they now exclusively have the blow back in the pistol cal.

I plan on using only handloads, so that is why i opted for the DI system, so that it can take the more powerfull loads without worrying about one if those firing out of battery like i have heard about the olys doing, and the guy as Delta company said it would shoot, and eject but had not tried gg mags or oly mags.

Received the upper im going to try to put a variety of factory loads through it to see how it likes the over the counter stuff and then work up a load from there using 180 and 135 gr jacketed noslers
