AK47 Build Party Pics from WillysWagon

Well, I thought I'd try it again :lol:
I got my sidefolder stock today from the 'Brown Truck'. I hope to build it up for a range test this weekend in WP. One of the fixed stock AK's was my first build and I made several errors on it, thanks for the FCG tip Ryan :oops: . I may be able to save it, but won't know till it's all done.

I'm looking forward to the next build. I know there's been posting about holding one up in the Denver area. As long as people get enough tools together for a total build, let's have several build parties :D .

it came home as a spotwelded blank. such a sad little piece of sheetmetal.
Goes click when the trigger is pulled, slides and locks the hammer. Trimmed back a little too much on the top of the receiver but hopefully it won't affect firing (doesn't by hand).

looking good. Now we just need the build party to get started here in Denver so I can build me one of those.

yeah I refinished the wood. Rit dye and clear varnish. the paint used on the metal isnt very good, at least on that metal. scratches off easily. can always re-do it later with something else if it gets really bad. (or experiment with park)
