Hello all, my name's Nick and I am new to the forums. Well, technically, new to posting on the forums, just recently created an account but have been browsing anonymously for quite some time now. A friend of mine turned me on the site, and said he'd had positive dealings in the past so I thought I'd check it out. I'm in the process of building my first AR, have been for a while now. Bought my stripped lower and assembled it, just waiting on funds to slap the upper I want up top. However, I'm getting married next month, and funds have predominantly gone to paying for that-as I'm sure you can well imagine. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell, glad to meet you all.

Welcome.

Since you've been lurking for a bit I suppose you know your way around the place.

Help yourself to the brew in the fridge and bring me one while your up.

I definitely know the how the cost of an upper can bring your progress to a screeching halt. So, I'm thinking, don't get married, use the money to get yourself the upper. Marriage ruins a perfectly good relationship.

OUCH

Just got hit by my wife.

What I meant to say is: Congratulations on the pending nuptials. Marriage is a wonderful thing and I couldn't recommend it more. <asking wife if this is a good enough retraction to my prior comment.>. Okay, she's satisfied.

By all means; don't let that ball and chain get in the way of your toy acquisitions. I mean, hey, a guy's gotta have his priorities! And don't worry about Ginsue; I'm sure his wife hit him in the head, so he'll be fine.

Jeez, Ginsue. If you can ever get her to get the mason jar out of the safe deposit box and get her to let you have your nuts back again, KEEP THEM!![ROFL1]

(love ya, Ginsue!!)

Oh, and Welcome!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yes the wife to be supports the hobby, actually she even likes guns and wants me to build her an AR with pink furniture this summer. So that's pretty exciting! I'll have her read up on the forums.
