I'll be driving back to Colorado tomorrow or Saturday, just thought I would ask how the highways are going west into Denver, just want to know what to expect and be prepared.
Thanks.

I'm in Pueblo but the weather forecast is good for the next few days, sunny with highs in the 40's & 50's. I-70 is clear except Vail Pass to Eisenhower tunnel still has some icy spots. The mountains though have their own weather...
I just drove back from Haye's Kansas. I-70 is GTG. No snow or ice.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Yea I want to club the person who thought concrete highways were a great idea.[Spank]

Kansas City?
What were you doing in my old hood? That's where I was born and mostly raised (Odessa, MO for HS).
You'll be fine. Easy drive.

Visiting the old stomping grounds Olathe / Lenexa, and seeing the Grand TrunkMonkey Babies.

I Take it you have never drive near Truck hubs (Aurora/Commerce City)
particularly around July/August when the Ruts are so deep you become worried about high centering anything but a lifted 4x4
I Have actually seen a regular car get stuck on a rut on quebec back in like 98ish.
The last thing I want to fight is a highway rut and try to change lanes at 75mph

I76 to Nebraska-concrete expansion joints every 20'-lotsa fun towing a 21' boat with a 14' overhead camper to McConaghy.

Been there done that. It really sucks towing a 20' trailer empty over those joints...damn kidneys feel like they're gonna pop!!

in '06 it was like that around Quebec. Luckily at the time, I owned a 98 Tacoma 4x4. My Integra that I own now would not have been a reliable form of transportation to school. Otherwise it does great in the snow.
The exit ramp off of I-70 and Ward used to be very bad as well.
