well looks like the 100mm is back ordered for 6-10 months so looks like im going with 80 most likely unless other tell me something else!

so i need to order a new spotting scope and i been looking at the konus sport 80mm and the 100mm lens options. reason being is they are pretty good scopes for the money and alot of High power shooter use them across the course.

45 degree eyepiece

yardage im needing
200
300
600+ not needing great optics enough to see a 3inch spotting disc at 600 yards.

if i could spend more money on the scope i would, but being in college and trying to save! every penny counts.

what i been using is a Simmons 20x60x60mm scope for what i was doing it worked great but i broke the variable zoom dial. so i need a new one before summer!

here is the site i been looking at BTW prices are really good on some items! cheapest on the web i can find for the scope i'm looking at.

I have the 80 and use it for 223 at 200yds without a problem. At 300 it is on the edge of capabilities.

I udgraded from the Simmons and it is a world of difference.

Great glass for the price.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but couldn't one use a telescope in a pinch? Higher magnification and cheaper. Do they work well for spotting scopes? Has anyone ever tried it?

i guess you could try it the issue is size lugging it around is a pain. my issue is we move from 200 to 300 yards than 600 yards and having everything smaller is a plus!

What would be y'alls recommendation for a spotting scope in the
$150 to $200 price range that could clearly view 5.56 holes up to
200 yards ?
