Hey everyone, me and my wife just moved here over xmas from sooner land. Still settling down, but looking forward to getting back out to shoot again. We have mostly hunting rifles, ie bigbore lever, large med bore bolt, and a few magnum turnbolt guns, as well as 1911s and some polymer guns. Still looking to add a black rifle to the collection, though the wife contests the need. Will have to learn the gunshops to go to and avoid here in the springs, and where to shoot.

Welcome, Oaky. Always good to have some southern blood in the mix.

Welcome.
I'm amazed at all of the new members we've had join from Colo Spr lately. I swear I only put up the one billboard.
You do realize that the first time you come out shooting with the group you'll be expected to sing the theme song from OKLAHOMA don't you? Just sayin'. [ETA: Not that I'm into show tunes - not that there's anything wrong with that]
Kick back and take a look around the site. Plenty of good info and great folks here.
Oh yeah, we have tornados in the Springs area too - just not usually as often nor as intense as the ones in OK.

Glad to hear another Okie is in the country.
Just a real shame Colorado has all the drawings to go hunting. They seem really confusing
Oklahoma you just by a lifetime hunting license and go hunting.
Good luck with the transition

Yeah but you can buy some over the counter tags here, you get a choice of several seasons to hunt, alot more public land to hunt, and its a once in a lifetime draw in Oklahoma to hunt elk on public land. Here its once in a trip to walmart, lol. Still, some of the prized areas are draw if I remember right. It is funny at the number of oklahoma transplants here.
