A cheap way to make a big difference is to get a set of JP reduced power springs. They go for around $10 and replace the standard ones. The fully adjustable JP trigger is really cool if you have the money to spend. They take a bit of time and effort to get running to your liking the first time but it's worth it.

I would personally recommend against Timney drop-ins right now. A buddy of mine had his burst firing. They sent him a new one and it had the same problem. On the other hand there are plenty of people that don't have that issue and are running great so just be aware of that.

It really depends on what you want, but the JP springs and a little polishing can work wonders. Plus you can do it yourself very easily.

Single stage or two stage is a personal preference decision. I learned on two-stage and competed with them so I try to have them in all my rifles and handguns for consistency.

I've installed Jard, Jewell, Timney, Bushmaster, CMMG and have worked on a half dozen other match triggers. For my money for a two stage in the AR platform I like the CMMG. It's about $100.00 and full adjustable for weight and travel. At first glance it appears too simple to be as good as it is...

The results from upgrading is a lighter and shorter trigger pull. Lighter and shorter trigger pull translates in better accuracy. I have stock, match two-stage, and a JP single stage with the lighter hammer. The JP makes the other two feel like junk.

The two stage match is nice, but you have to take up the initial stage to the wall before pushing it to the break. Not a huge deal, but that's the big difference IMO. You really can't go wrong with the JP.
