Some of this might be old news. I'll post it anyways.

K2 Firing range and shop closed recently. They are in forclosure. There are rumors going around the Green Mountain Guns might be interested in picking it up.

Gun Works: I'm told that they've closed

Gunbarrel Trading Post: Also Closed

Tom and Joe's: almost closed. Word is they are looking to close their shop soon.

Gunworks has be closed for over a year now.

K2 well let's just say everybody seen that coming.

The other two you mentioned I have never been to.

With the exception of K2 It is a shame I really liked Gunworks.

Tom has been wanting to transition into a new career. He's been a great guy to chat with and to do business with over the past 15 years. I wish him all the best in whatever his new pursuit winds up being.

That sucks. I bought my G19 there, got a killer price and great service.

What can you say about a guy like Rob. He's an acquired taste for sure. I acquired a tast for his sense of humor and comical ways almost 15 years ago. A lot of guys come and go in this business. Rob is truly one of the one's I'll be sorry to see go. Maybe we could get him to take that chump CAL with him.

A salute to my friend Rob. I always told him I'd deny it if he ever told anyone we were friends. I changed my mind.

Good luck old buddy. Enjoy Retirement.

anyone aware of new shop openings? Seems that with all these closings that there might be some new shops as well. I've heard of a new one called "eagle" or some such. I have not ventured out there yet though.

Where is Eagle Firearms? What area of interest do the cater to primarily? Do they sell alot of the peripheral items as well as firearms?

They are in Wheat Ridge and they predominantly specialize in ARs, but they do have handguns, shotguns, etc.

I was looking at their web site and am noticing that some of their stuff (Daniels Defense FF forends and Stag Uppers) are above MSRP.. not cool, especially seeing as they're only a little bit away from where I work.

Eagle- I was in there yesterday, just had a few minutes- RRA & Bushmaster rifles, a good selection of uppers. I need to go back when I have time and $. Definitely an AR- dedicated store.

I just compared prices and Eagle's price for uppers is definitely not above MSRP. Can you find a combination that is above MSRP?

The same goes for Daniel Defense. I couldn't find a single instance where Eagle's prices were above MSRP.

I often go to the EE at ARFCOM to get an idea for market prices and I just don't see where Eagle is not competitive. I certainly couldn't get the RRA 2-stage triggers anywhere cheaper.

Might just be what I was looking at...

12.0 M4 Free Float Handguard (Riflelength) - MSRP: $345.00 from the DD web site

from the Eagle site: $352.00

Stag, I'll correct myself, Eagle is $5 cheaper than MSRP

The funny thing is, I tried going over there yesterday about 4:30 (after calling a few times and getting no answer or a busy signal) and they were closed. Another guy was there and asked if I had bought anything from them because he had driven down from a place called Clay (dunno where that is) to get a BCG from them. I was bummed. I was hoping that I could convince them to give me a better deal on the FF handguard.
