View Full Version : WI Dems...
While this has no direct bearing on CO I thought it humorous nonetheless (national story). An interesting [and "smelly"] tactic by the WI lefties...gaggle-up and run away together... [NoEvil]
Man...what this country has come to with respect to the political class...buncha pussies. Pay taxes for a few years in that state and you'll clearly understand why the left is pure bat-shit nucking futz!

The 14 Senate Democrats who are boycotting a vote on a controversial "union-busting" bill have left the state, ...[supposedly] the group wants to force negotiations over the Republican-backed bill, which would strip most public employees of their collective-bargaining rights.
...the plan is to slow down the bill because it's "tearing the state apart." Senate Republicans hold a 19-14 majority but can't vote on the bill unless at least one Democrat is present. Police could be dispatched to retrieve them, but it was unclear if they would have the authority to cross state lines.

if it were me as Govenor, upon their return to the state I would have each of the arrested for dereliction of duties and breach of oath.
Fined and a special election held to see if they get to stay in office.
Let the people decide.

They "supposedly" fled the state. I read this too, and to be fair, it sounds like they are doing the same thing a lot Congressmen (both sides) have been doing since Obama took office....Skipping out on votes, not showing up for votes, ect. Hell didn't some of them even miss their swearing in ceremony this past January?

That gov had better watch out. I read that the state police have a powerful union are unhappy about the bill. They might have real problems finding the runaway legislature.
I do have mixed feelings. It really does appeal to my funnybone. Politicians are funny critters and maybe more should run away and go into hiding.

I know how to get the Democrats back in a hurry.
Propose legislation for a pay raise.

I read that the police, firefighter, and state police unions are exempt from the bill.
liberal SOP.
if something's happening you don't like then you scream, cry, picket and protest.
if I was the governor I'd come down on them like a ton of bricks.
just prolonging the end result. the legislation will pass and the .gov people will have to struggle like the private sector.
will of the people....elected republicans, the dems show how spineless they are by running to other states, away from their jobs they were elected to do. I think they should all be fired and hung.

funny thing is liberals are praising them for their backbone, for sticking up for what they believe in.
I think every state legislature needs written into the bylaws, that if an elected representative of the people, Leaves the state for anything other than state business or an emergency during the session, as soon as they cross the state line, They have tendered their resignation. This would work both parties.

So the libtards have now redefined spinelessness as backbone. Why am I not surprised? Run away from votes they don't like, but scream and howl and use derogatory terms for others when they do something those libtards don't like. Nothing like common sense and logic (heavy sarcasm here)...

I LIKE IT! Can we extend that idea to Congress and the Senate as well?

And you KNOW they're not using their own pocket money to charter flights and hotels in another state. Flaking out of doing their jobs on the taxpayers' dime.... THEFT.

Wrong. This is different. It wasn't just a few skipping out on a vote. It was all of them and the state laws say that there needs to be at least one Dem there to vote on the bill or no one can vote on it. They didn't do this because they were lazy like all the other politicians that don't show up, they did it so the bill can't move forward. If only just one Dem shows up, the bill likely passes and they lose...so what do sore losers do? They don't play...
Added: they may ask the state police to track these guys down. Also, people are getting pissed that the teachers haven't worked for 3 days. The schools are closed and that makes life very hard for working families. It may seem like there are a lot of people against this but I am willing to bet that an overwhelming number of the general populace of that state is going to turn against the teachers, etc that are on strike. Over 600 called in sick today. I think all 600 better show up back to work with a doctor's note or they get fired. A bunch of dipshit people upset because someone had the gall to ask them to pay into their own retirement accounts. OMG. They just want them to contribute something like 5% and they are freaking out. Go to hell you entitled, useless public employees who call in sick to work because you might have to pay a fraction of the amount that the rest of us do. Makes me sick. Fire them all.

I hope a Dem sneaks bak in and they pass it. These unions have gotten out of control. They want more and more but do less and less. CA is a perfect example of that. Fuc* all the teachers that abandon the kids they claim to be striking for. GO back to work and make these kids the smartest in the world then come talk about raises and more perks.

There is far too much corruption on both sides of the argument.
on one side I understand what you are saying, but on the other side you have ass-hats cutting 357 Million from state budgets while proposing medicare for illegals...

Well as long as the same pricks get elected this is what we get. Dickinpooper will give away the store now that he is govenor. I saw a clip on the news this morning that a panel has decided to give instate tuition to "undocumented students" in CO. I agree both sides are screwed up. But what can we do when its the same politicians over and over again.

If I were a member of that legislature, I'd get a couple of staties and track down the nearest hiding dem I could find, hog tie them and drag their ass back to the capitol for the vote.
what do you think the reaction from the media would have been if the republicans had done this?
this really pisses me off.

That's not what they need. After seeing that the Tea Party is pulling people from out of state on the news then more people will come in from out of state to support the waco teachers and make it look like they are a bigger power then they are. These fights need to be kept within the state that fighting them. The local tea party there needs to spend 100% of their effort recruiting in state.
