It's crazy how many doors/flaps there are on that thing. The ducted fans, the weapon stores, gear, and flight control surfaces all dangling off it in ugly configuration, and she cleans right up to go fast.

Such a great plane, too bad its not in production stage yet, and fly away cost is already higher than F-22.

This is the most likely variant to be cancelled in the short term... Even the Brits who wanted it to replace their harrier fleet are building a new aircraft carrier that can accommodate both STOVL and regular airplanes (catapult/arresting gear).

It's sad. I remember watching a airshow with a av8 demo a while back it was one of the best display I have ever witnessed.
