The 2 spots I normally go shooting are not an option to go shooting tomorrow. I was thinking of Pawnee Mat Grasslands, doesnt sound like my wife wants to do the long drive. Anyone know of a decent place to shoot with in an hour or so of Denver?
I cant get to my buddy's place in Kiowa and my property near Fairplay is snowed out.
Threw this in GD since there is more traffic.

Im just gonna head to Pawnee as there are a few decent spots that people havnt trashed and my buddy lives in Longmont and easier for him to head there with us then anywhere else.
Anyone else is welcome to join me and my fam. PM for my cell so we can meet up.
Pawnee is w/in an hour.. depending on how you drive... just leave the wife :)

No way, She would kick my ass and change the locks when I get home. [ROFL1]
She also was the one who suggested to go tomorrow.
There are quite a few spots outside of Boulder, just north of Nederland. Just on this side of an hour from north-metro. Might need a 4x4 to get to em.

Depending on what side of Denver, there's the South Site which is about an hour from Littleton, and then if you're on the west side there's the Summit County Shooting Range in Dillon which is about an hour away from there.
The good thing is, they are both free.
If you don't mind rules (though, it might be a mad house on the holiday) Cherry Creek is close but $.
Went there yesterday and almost made it the intire time without breaking the rules. Damn rules

I just experienced Left Hand Canyon up between Boulder and Lyons. Not a bad little place, especially for free. Apparently there are some better places to go within the area, but I couldn't remember the exact directions so my fiance and I stayed at the busy area.

Can you get to any of the Pawnee spots with a car?
All of the Pawnee spots should be accessible by car. It is nothing but gently rolling hills up there.
