(I know Jerry's week was a bad one... but I gotta say - this one has been hard on us - will update the wills next week)
This has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life... I finished up my trip to S. Korea - came back sick... got sick in Seoul - but still went to the DMZ...
Flight back was a real trial... ever been sick on a transpacific flight? 10.5 hours? Ugh.
Anyway - I get back - come in the house and our dog Teddy was not happy to see me... alarm bells...
We took him to the vet the next day and they did tests and x-rays and he is bleeding internally...
we had to take him for emergency surgery the next morning... bad news...
had to remove his speen due to growths on it... results came back... cancer.
My mother calls and tells me my grandmother has passed away... in White County GA...
Our Teddy (http://www.co-ar15.com/forums/showpost.php?p=282500&postcount=61) seems to be doing well over the weekend...
then Monday unable to get around.. very pale... take him to the vet and the news is awful... we have to say goodbye to our best boy...
The wife's family used to joke that she loved him more than she loved me... but I knew it was true...
I never saw two that were so bound together in my life.... I am so sad... but she is inconsolable...
We miss our boy and our grannie.
Say a prayer for us and those we miss with all our heart.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I think this MONTH has been one of the most trying periods of time I've come across as well. SO much going on, rank test for kung fu which is extremely stressful and demanding. My teacher had a new baby so we were running the school for a couple weeks, money coming in and going out, trying to get my lawsuit off the ground, fiance was very ill this weekend, we've been going through some tough times, but thankfully we're always there for each other. My fiance will react the same way when our oldest dog dies too. he's losing his teeth to gingivitis, so I'm not sure how long he'll last when they're gone. She's going to be a wreck.

Prayers definitely inbound for you and yours.

I ask for prayers in return. Lots of bad stuff going on in my life right now too. Major financial issues that I didn't see coming (thanks WIFE), lost one family member, got another family member just put on life support, wifes mis-management of our money could cost me my job, expected government shutdown could cause me to not receive my VA and possibly my mil retiree checks - which I count on their income - especially now. Only good news is that my father-in-law just got out of the hospital last week after we thought we were going to lose him too.

I won't even get into what's going on in my life but you guys that are experiencing a lot of financial strife-your not alone or will you be alone in the future. Signs of the times. I'm not a doomsayer it's just reality. You folks that are working-STAY PUT !! There's little too nothing out here in the job market and you won't realize how bad it is it until your looking. We all need prayers guys. I don't see a bright horizon.

Things are always getting better, and one thing that helps keep me grounded with my own personal difficulties is the age old saying "Someone, somewhere always has it worse than you." I truly am a blessed person. God always gets me through the tough times. You know, the more I think about it, I look back and everything I've ever asked him for, I've gotten. Usually not in my own timeframe, but God's timing is never the same as our own.
