goddamfuckinassbitchfuckshitassbastard [Bang]

Tax return was filed early Feb, I got $590 back WOOO HOOO! I bought my first gun, LOVE IT, and then received a late w-2 from my nogoodshitforbrains ex employer, who I am suing. I file my amended tax return and looks like my correct and completed return should have only been $250 so now I have to pay $340 back! My state return went from $139 to $26. SHITFUCK! Man I'm pissed. I'm keeping my damn gun. [M2][AR15][AR15][Bang][Bang][Rant1][Rant1][Mad][Mad][Mad][Mad][AR15][AR15][AR15]

That sucks to hear man, however if you knew you worked for another employer within this fiscal year, shouldn't you have expected to get another W-2? Not taking sides or anything, just sayin.

Well, based on the history I have with my ex-boss, and his ability to follow through with things of great importance to his business and professionalism, I was ready to bet money I wasn't going to receive a tax return and he was going to be committing a federal crime. He's already committed insurance fraud and theft, so it wasn't far off, hahaha. I had already called the IRS and gave them his info and told them I didn't think I was going to get a return. Perhaps that's why I got one...he might have gotten a phone call.

Well I do NOW, since I spent the $590 that I got initially, so I'm going to have to repay the $340 difference. Whoops. Well, I'm still glad I got my XD. haha

I'm almost done with my business taxes, then I'll do my taxes. Then I usually end up consulting on other peoples taxes....

That's Arapahoe for ya, but I did "hear" that someone got a gun through there that shouldn't have a few weeks back. Whoops. They are probably over reacting since that incident.

Hear hear on flat tax.

Everybody pays, penny or a pound, nobody rides for free.

If you want to ride for free you can starve to death in the gutter.

I've got a ticket out of Denver that I flat out refuse to pay. My credit will be fine again in 7 years. Eat a dick Denver.

the whole letter with threat of warrants and me needing my CDL for work where enough motivation for me. although my Jaywalking ticket is another story.

Got a notice a few weeks ago from the IRS that I owe them $10k from 2008. I thought the 2008 taxes were all done and accounted for 2 years ago. They found something that I knew nothing about (yeah, thanks WIFE). Got to get them the $$ before they decide to take my possessions.

Holding off doing my 2010 taxes until I get the 2008 stuff worked out.

Yeah, I got that threat letter too. I just don't go there anymore.

I do plan on offering to pay the collections company though. It will just be an amount lower than the original ticket. I can't imagine the collections company has very much into the ticket, seeing as it is not like I took something tangible from them and they are out money. I park on your street and now I owe you $75, then when I don't pay you the money that you never lost, you jack it up to $190 and send me to collections? Fuck you Denver. You already steal my money with the stupid Privilege Tax. Maybe you'll get lucky and I'll work in your shit town for 30 more months.

That's weak Ginsue.

Don't get me started on the IRS either. You send them a check every month, then they stop taking your money and send your checks back. Then you start threatening letters demanding that you pay them, WHEN THEY ARE SENDING YOUR CHECKS BACK! So you call them, and the asshole on the phone says, "Well, I can see that you were on a payment plan, but somehow you got taken off. Don't worry though, for $150, we can put you back on the plan."

Are you kidding me?! Why am I not surprised that I magically was taken off the plan (3 months after I started it), no one can solve the mystery, but it will conveniently (for you) cost me $150 to get this problem (that you caused) all worked out? Assholes. It makes me sick that you need a Power of Attorney just to get through to the IRS, and an attorney just to get a hearing at the DMV.

Did you see that news blip tonight about getting tickets if you park your car with a for sale sign on it in denver? the only place you can park with that sign is on private property. Going to try and find a link.

Haven't done mine yet, very worried about it this year. It's been a hot mess as far a finances go.

I'm not to keen on the flat tax, to many vans selling crap down by the river in Arizona to make me believe that thing wouldn't just get walked around too. Can you imagine the line at customs!

This isn't to say I have a better idea. I guess I wouldn't mind the taxes if I wasn't so sure most my money was getting wasted.

Irving
02-23-2011, 00:28
Yep, F Denver. If I was in charge, I'd edit Denver to Fenver, just so people could save some time from having to say "F Denver" every time.

I wish I-25 would curve a little more west and avoid Denver altogether.

I get all kinds of grumpy just driving into Denver at this point. I really don't understand how people can handle living in the city. We can't wait to get further away from it.

We need to replace the current tax bracket with flat sales tax.

But think of all the accountants, tax preparers, and tax consultants who would be unemployed. Then their children would be hungry and need shoes.

Its all about the children! Lets pay our taxes to save the children! [Flower]

In roughly the same boat. Did all the taxes and submitted, no problem. Then in mid-Feb I get a w-2 from Google ads that was just a couple bucks above the minimum to report, damnit. I wonder if they'll catch it and send me less (should find out Friday) or will I have to refile everything.

file an amendment listing a late W2 as the reason
send a copy of the envelope with the postmark AFTER your filing date
they will get it

Yeah, I did the turbotax route. Since my side work went belly up at the end of '09, it's the first year I had "simple" taxes...

Adjust your withholding so you have to pay or break even at the end of the year.
That way you don't have to wait for the governments to pay you YOUR money back.
They have to wait for you.
Kick yourself in the ass because you forgot you worked and filed taxes before getting your W-4 from a employer!
Dumb ass for thinking about suing them.
A flat tax sucks. To many ways for people like me to by pass it.
We just need less government spending so we have to pay less taxes.

I've thought about going the whole route of not filing an income tax return at all actually. I saw a video called Freedom for Fascism or something like that and it explains that there is actually no existing law that says you have to file. But there have been people that ended up doing jail time and lots of attorney's fees, and ended up winning, just a TON of headache to deal with. Not sure if I'm ready for that. The lawsuit has nothing to do with the tax returns. I just thought I wouldn't be receiving one based on his other actions that have warranted my lawsuit.
