So since some of you on here are fairly "crafty", figured I would try asking on here:
my girlfriend has recently gotten in to leatherworking (belts, etc), but it doesn't seem that there is a lot of info out there, like classes, courses, books, etc...
Anyone know of any good resources, classes, etc?

I bought all my tools and took classes at the Tandy's Leather stores that used to be around Denver Metro. But I don't know if they still have stores here since the one that was in Thornton closed a long time ago.

Years ago I would have said Tandy, I don't even know if they have stores anymore. Could try looking them up on the web and see if they even still exist.
They had the leather, tools, just about anything one would need.
ETA; Damn I type slow.

that's where she's purchased her startup stuff, and it's pretty close to our house. I guess they're doing some kind of starter class too coming up.
Pretty neat stuff actually!

I think her first project should be a holster.

There's also a big leather supply place just off I-70 near Grape or Holly (somewhere right over there), on the South side. Can't remember the name, but a buddy of mine who does leather work occasionally pointed them out to me. I may have a little time tomorrow, maybe I'll go by and see if I can figure out the name of the place.

I never really understood the whole fascination with flowers on a mans holster (not that a woman couldn't/wouldn't use it too, but ...)

Good quality hand worked leather is hard to find. Took me a while to find someone to make my sheath, and I am not sure that person is going to be doing too much leather work anymore
