My ex-brother in law is the new captain of the time bandit, Eddie Uwekoolani Sr. My nephew, Eddie Jr., just completed his first season of opies (opilio crab) this winter. They actually finished about a month early.

The season opener for 2011 is the opie season which is the worst/dangerous of a crabbers season, it should be airing in April. My sister told me that Eddie jr., is greenhorn of the year from the Discovery Channel. Hopefully he is smarter than his dad and takes care of his little one with the cash he brought home.

I am super proud of him because I know it is bust ass work. I just thought I would share.

For the most part the crew is a bunch of dirtbags..I just really hope jr. can keep his shit together and not get caught up in the money. I really think he will, becuause he doesnt want to be like his dad.

I always wanted to do this since before the show came out. Once the show came out it made me want to do it that much more. I consider myself pretty tough but it sure seems like it would be one heck of a test.

I think with a job like that, money is the biggest catch. As long as he keeps his head on strait though, he should be fine. He needs to remember that there is nothing wrong with having a different opinion, or acting differently than the rest.
