I am very new to the gun hobby, and got the bug real quick. My collection is growing fast. But my pride and joy is my Century WASR AK. I know its not a high end AK, but for plinking and target practice I love it. Customizing it and just love shooting it. I have thought of purchasing another AK in the next few months. And curious as to opinions on what types. I like the look of the wood furniture, and prefer staying away from the folding stock furniture. Thank you to all.

Welcome aboard!
for the money tou cant beat a wasr
theres some known issues with sight cant but its an easy fix
nothing to worry about unless its shooting way off the paper with the front sight post maxed out
theres so many different ones to choose from,it just depends on your taste and budget
if you get one with plastic furniture you can allways swap it out for wood and sell the old stuff for a decent price
Enjoy your new toy[Tooth]

Welcome to the forum!
Talking about customizing, you should get AR... but be aware - THERE'S NO END customizing/upgrading it! [Beer]

lol, and thank you! That is why I am sticking to the ak's. Still not cheap, but cheaper than ar's.

Congrats on the wasr. I had a SAR1 years ago and I regret selling it. So keep that wasr.. You'll be suprised when its worth $200 more in about 5 years. I just went out shooting with Jriefsch80 this afternoon. We were testing our kit builds we recently finished. Both aks fired flawlessly. Sure makes me like my 4 ak's.

In the past, my AKs have not been cheaper than my ARs. But, I'm usually a sucker for everything Russian... that's probably why!

if you're looking nto another ak look into getting either a saiga and doing your own conversion or centerfire has a good deal right now on amd 65's 399 and they're original FEG receiver guns that are converted to hi-cap here in america (kinda like wasr's) also any ak purchase from centerfire right now and you can add a 75 round drum for 25 bucks. or maybe get a romanian draco and sbr it ;)

also they have a factory 12.5 inch chromed barrel with the extended brake blind pinned, it's practicly a factory sbr ;) edit: that was just for the amd the romy draco has a virgin underfolder rear trunnion in it so it also is an easy sbr

I've only had it one day and am already impressed with my Arsenal-converted Saiga...

those are nice, i'm not even sure if the arsenal saiga's were ever in the same sporting configuration as normal saigas, i believe they might be imported with the folding stock trunnion installed but without other parts installed till they get here. either way those arsenal saigas are pricy but they are nice for sure
