View Full Version : Courage to Resist
So remember that coward that sent all that stuff to Wikileaks? Well here is his support group.
http://www.couragetoresist.org/x/
For a while, PayPal shut off their account.

“We’ve been in discussions with PayPal for weeks, and by their own admission there’s no legal obligation for them to close down our account,” noted Loraine Reitman of the Bradley Manning Support Network (Support Network). “This was an internal policy decision by PayPal.”
I didn't really read this, but thought that people here might like to see it.
I got to "Berkeley, CA: Bradley Manning benefit (http://www.couragetoresist.org/x/content/view/888/1/)"
that says it all
his douchebagery deserves nothing less than a cranial lead injection

Don't know how I missed this one earlier.
A whole network dedicated to supporting treasonous cowards...wow. "Courage to resist"? Sounds a lot like the sort that work harder to get out of work than if they just did it. What a bunch of slime. These are the sort that expect others to to the hard and/or dirty work so they can get the benefits, and are the first to scream for protection if something happens.

Well all that you guys have said is true, but that wasn't the reason I posted the link and article. I know that people don't like PayPal for being anti-gun, but they are also apparently anti-dumb-as-shit-support groups, since they closed their account just because they (PayPal) felt like it.

I don't like PayPal because, well, they're PayPal. They can take their 'tude and shove it, I'll never do business with them for anything.

Here is my thing:
If you don't want to kill others to defend your nation, that's fine. Don't join the ARMED Forces and waste every one's time and money.
IF you DO join the armed forces, you take an oath. Should you break that oath you MUST be held accountable.

Exactly; it's not like they got drafted. If you want the college money, then be prepared to perform your duties until your hitch is up. If you're allergic to going into harm's way then find another way to go to college.
maybe they wanted the free gay sensitivity training?

I just wonder how some low level guy could get that much stuff. Definitely some dumbass management above him.
My company deals a lot with commercial security. Every sensitive email is PGP encrypted. We have a few computers with real sensitive stuff that have USB ports and such removed. We have scanners installed on all our work computers that report what we are doing. It is a firing offense to try to disable it. There is a separate group that handles it.
Why did he have access to all that stuff in the clear and why weren't there steps taken to make sure he couldn't walk off with it? There will always be jerks. Just minimize the damage they can do.

After reading about newracer's nephew, Ryan, having my own youngest presently serving, and then seeing this...
I'd be happy to cap Manning's treasonous ass myself. No charge.
Here's an interesting question: If the US government was doing something illegal, would it be moral for someone in the military to leak the information?

Chain of Command
Congressman/Representative/Senate
That is all
You don't run up to the first media source and spill your guts.
Not unless you want the last words you heard to be "READY, AIM, FIRE!"

I have said it before and i will say it again. Most people joining the military join for the benefits, and then refuse to do a job when the time comes. They look past the idea of going to war and either dying or shooting someone.

We executed Germans for 'following orders'. We didn't execute Hugh Thompson, Jr. for training machine guns on US soldiers engaged in a massacre of civilians.
The US has always been proud of its citizen soldier traditions so it isn't an easy call. I assume the little twerp knew it would be a bad when he was caught. "My Honour is Loyalty." is not an American tradition.
As I said earlier in this thread, I don't understand how this little guy got his hands on so much info and was allowed to get it out. Heads should be rolling over this.
