New guy about to deploy!

So I joined this site yesterday after looking for a few minutes for local guns for sale. It's seems like a cool site with lots of great info. I am deploying middle of this year to the "Stan", for round number 2. I just bought some 22LR's (a Kimber and a S&W M&P 15/22) for getting back behind the gun and remembering what it's like to shoot again! I'm completely addicted to shooting again, and I need to curb my spending on firearms before leaving. I'll be lurking on here before, during and after I deploy to stay current on most of the topics relating to NFA and what not. Thanks for being a great source of info, and I'll be sure to be asking plenty of questions at one point or another!

Ok so I replied on page 3 to everyone, but I wanted to re-edit this main one to put a call out to anyone going and shooting rifles of any sort (AK,AR Bolt Actions preferably). I would buy my own ammo or reimburse you for what you reloaded. I just want to shoot something more than my 22 and M9.

Thanks for the replies guys! It's nice to know troops have support even when sometimes it feels like they don't. But i know there are plenty of supporters of what we're trying to do and to that I say, THANK YOU!!

Zteknik- I will definintely be treating myself to some new toys when I get back.

TheGinsue- I updated my location per the requirements.

TheRat- no probs on the deployment porn, i have my HD from last time, so I am A OK!

I'll be sure to send some pics when i finally get downrange. Until then I am going to be training and what not. Also I just wanted to clarify that I'm a national guardsmen here in Denver, so that's why I need to start shooting again. Theres not enough time in a weekend usually to do all the things a soldier needs to do to be prepared. So I'll be borrowing the roommates AR and going and getting some range time. Also if anyone else is going shooting anything high powered and doesn't mind a tag along who pays for his own ammo, I would love a chance to go along!

SerinJune, Thanks for your service. I am a newbie here on this site as well. I tried shooting my new AR a couple days ago, but with a messed up back, it hurt WAY too much, so I need to go back to the light stuff for a while. Good luck and keep your head low.

SerinJune-i know how it was when i got to the reserves from active, just playin during the weekend wasnt enough

your doing the right thing by training before hand
get all the range time you can!!here in ny when i was in the reserves i was able to use the ranges at West Point with my P.O.W.,and even when i got out but all that changed since after 911

too bad i dont live out there yet,id love to get more range time in[M2]
