Hello everyone! I just bought my first real AR (I had an M&P 15-22 but that doesn't count) and discovered this forum. Looks like a nice place to hang out and chat a bit. Hopefully I can learn something and make some new friends.

Welcome, and thanks for posting in my thread as well. I hope your back gets better and you can take that pretty new AR out and put some rounds through it! Until then I can get some ammo and do that for you! :)

Aw, that entirely sucks - wanting to do something to improve the quality of your life and not being able to do it - well, this is Colorado and you will find a way!

Sandbags, rests, espresso machine, fuzzy bunny slippers - all can help!

And, yes, I have a portable espresso machine (12v) and sometimes slippers are easier to put on! OK, it was my daughter, and she thought it would be funny, and no, you can't see the pictures.

But welcome from the northern half of the state!

Thanks for all the nice greetings. I sure hope this back thing will be temporary. In the mean time, I'll make sure to use rests next time so there isn't so much torque on my body when the shot is fired. I like the idea of espresso & fuzzy slippers too... We don't get to do much of that when we're shooting out in the pasture. :)

I can't believe your intro thread slipped right past me and I missed it for almost 2 full days.

I don't know how old you are but I can attest that the older you get the more of those nasty back issues you'll get the pleasure of experiencing.

I hope you participate and that we can exchange lots of info and ideas.
