Good point. Now that I think about it, when I first got plates for the Mustang four years ago, they only cost $25 or so. Wonder how that works.

Well if you are anywhere close to E470 your taxes went up for the "tollway" now go figure that one out. If you dont use it you have to pay for it but if you use it you pay twice.

I saw some dude pony up $1700 for something a few years ago. Maybe it was for that blue Ferarri I see around town from time to time....

All that for one of the worst road systems and drivers in the nation. I think I will transfer my title to TN. At least they did give me the military discount deal the first time around, esp glad considering my truck (04 F-250 PSD)

Just remembered that my dad's friend bought a new F-350 PSD a couple years back. For about six months the truck just sat in his driveway while he continued to drive his old beater Honduh. Turns out he had to save up the $900 for plates.

It's a ripoff.

Heck, the ticket for an expired plate is only $109 dollars
You could do that once every 45 days and still pay less money

Hey it's been done. In April 7 1850 the former California town seceded from the US and became The republic of Rough and Ready. Lasted 3 months before they got homesick and rejoined.
