We are running our annual "St. Paddy's Day Massacre" match on Saturday, March 19th. This is a "closed" tactical pistol, stage, in that you do not see it, or get a "walk through" prior to shooting it. It will be a low light stage, with flashlights required. This year's theme is a Zombie hunt, with Zombies as the shoot targets.
We will be running , at the same time, our "Come Hell or High Water" stage outside. This is a run and gun for rifle, pistol and shotgun, all iron sights, and shot in any kind of weather and conditions.
Gear up, man up, and come have a blast with us at Boulder Rifle Club. There is a mandatory safety briefing at 9 AM.

Are lasers allowed, along with the flashlight?
"C" class of course.

Oh come on... you've already done you're part of the process, and you probably took the class regarding that in health class in high school.
Women folk have apparently been having babies on their own for generations from what I hear.
Just tell her you'll read her notes when you get home!
I'm pretty excited for this and I'm ready to go! I also wanted to bump this thread up since it's this weekend.

Didn't take "that" mag, but the others worked just fine. [Tooth]
Match was inside and outside. What a GREAT day for it. The outside started with a rifle (open sights ONLY) Gong, then paper on either side, Gong, paper on the other side. Keep going until you have taken 3 shots at each paper target, finishing up with the gong. Retire rifle, grab shotgun. 2 steel targets from the line, then advance with 2 targets about every 10 yards. How fast can you walk/run, load, and shoot? 2 targets, 4 slugs at 50 yards. Retire shotgun. Load handgun. 6 hits on a gong, then run the 50 yards and 2 hits each on 3 targets.
Inside, Flashlight was NEEDED.
They take your handgun and hide it. Then you have to find your handgun while going through the maze, through lots of doors, past strobe lights etc. then load and start shoot zombies. Advance down the line using cover and conceal. Only one person shot it clean, one person had only one penalty. The average was something line 7 misses 4 hostages. Lots/most of the scorecards had double digit penalties. A fun time was had by all. (well almost all)
CMP_5.56, that's the short version.

I had a great time today. 2 misses and 2 hostages. Not bad considering I have never done anything even remotely similar and haven't shot since Oct. I only did the zombie stage.
I had a lot of fun today. Thanks to the Boulder Rifle Club and everyone that put it on.
I never shot a stage where tactical order and shooting from cover were factors. Something I have to work on for sure.
The outdoor stage was also good. It was nice to get the rifle and shotgun running for the first time since September even for just one stage.

Thanks to the Boulder Rifle Club for putting on the match - I brought along two of my friends, and we were made to feel totally welcome. Everyone was friendly, and we even picked up a new nickname for one of my buddies.
The hell or high water stage was a great exposure to 3-gunning, and the indoor stage was very educational. To underscore the friendliness of the BRC crowd, one of my friends brought Wolf to the rifle range, which apparently is not allowed. One of the members loaned him an M1 carbine and ammo to use. Amazingly kind.
We'll all definitely be back next time.
Incidentally, are the results going to be posted to the club webpage?
Thanks again!

So you brought Lucky....huh? [Muaha]
Now as for the scores, that is a bit of a sticky, always has been. They do not post them anywhere. They might have them at the next match, they may not. You might be able to get in touch with the match director and get them. You may never see them.

Llama, you can check in with either me or Robbo at the next match for stats. We don't publish the entire match results, however, if you get on my e mail list, I publish a monthly digest of the winners of the classes. PM me your e mail, and any of your buddies that you brought, and I'll add you.
