anyone know a good holster for a 1911 that will work on molle belts? trying to keep price to a minimum but ill take any suggestions

Tough to say without knowing exact kind of use you're going for, but since it's on a molle belt I'm gonna guess not daily CCW stuff. Personally I like serpa's for secondary weapon rigs. Generally in that situation you want it secure but easy to access and the serpa fits the bill well in my opinion.

Thigh drop holster. The molle belts are just too flexible for straight carry, a drop holster works pretty well for mine, but then it's strapped down three different ways and stabilized on the belt by two support straps.

My favorite is my Wilson Combat. I think that's the best for a fs non railed 1911. Buy once cry once.

I've always been a fan of Bianchi holsters on a thigh drop.

ALL of the new safariland holsters with the exception of the IWB models use a mount that can attache direct to molle with an adapter. Base model ALS holsters are usually under $60.00, which i think is awesome for what you get.
