I have an older (not newest version, all silver framed) MacBook Pro. It saw me through the second half of college, but has been abused. The metal casing is split/coming apart/bent/dented in several areas. I don't have the money to get a new computer, so I was curious if there was a way to get a new casing installed/get it looking better. I could also use a new battery as the one I have now doesn't hold much past a half hour charge. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Apple store would know for sure but are you talking about the g5 CPU version or the first intel cpu's. The battery can be replaced and the last time I had a batt issue the flat irons store gave me the battery free.

The casing can be ordered on line... Expect a couple hundred for the parts. Not hard to install yourself I did it on mine when I knocked it off the kitchen counter one day... Oops. Ifixit has step by step instructions.

The places mentioned already are good but I suggest the macspa in lodo. The tech is a friend of almost 15 years. VERY good.

+1 for ordering the case online and installing it yourself. Did that with a screen and a keyboard, and a couple hard drives. Pretty easy to do.
