I finally decided to try a Glock, I broke down and got myself a used Glock 23C with adjustable sights. So far I'm impressed with the fit and finish but I have yet to get the opportunity to try it out at the range. Up untill now I've primarilly only had revolvers so this is a whole new world for me to explore.

Good buy. However, you may consider an after market, un ported barrel, if you intend it to be a concealed carry piece.

Gas porting can have nasty effects if you are having to fire from a retention position. That gas can burn and even cut.

Well, you've done it now, welcome to the addiction that is the Glock (for some of us anyway). Glocks have cost me a lot of money, not only buying them, but attempting to try new pistols (recently an M&P), and then always running back to Glocks. This last endeavor cost me quite a bit, I think i've learned my lesson, and will continue to own Glocks and 1911's when it comes to the Semi auto arena.

I didn't mean to talk you out of it. you can just get a 9mm conversion barrel and some g19 mags, and be ready to rock without trading up...

Some one here had everything barrel (threaded) and two mags for $150. Technically you should also change the firing pin, recoil spring, extractor plunger/depressor, extractor, and ejector, but it will work with out changing those parts.

Edit: nevermind it sold. the barrel is about 130 from Lonewolf. Then you would just need the mags.

well if he sold it here like everyone else I see, he probably got better than retail for it and can go by a Glock 19 or a 26 and have enough left over for a nice dinner.
