View Full Version : vz2008 sporter (vz58) safty problems (help!!!)
so i picked up a vz2008 sporter and like a dumb ass i pushed the safety forward ,a natural reaction , push safety forward to fire right ???wrong !!! now the damn thing is stuck on safe , yes the selector still moves to all positions but no bang !!! what the shit !! so my question is do i have to take the damn thing apart to fix it or is there some sore of trick that i am unaware of .
also i did a little diggin and realized that this model had some sort of recall maybe some one knows more about that subject

i doubt it would be hard to field strip it to at least see why it isn't working so maybe you could figure out a trick if thre is one. maybe post a picture of the internals

About a year ago mine did that too. It turns out it is a common problem with the early (maybe later too) clones from century. I couldn't field strip mine either without breaking something. I called century and sent it back. They had it fixed and sent back to me within 2 weeks. They never told me what was wrong. There is information on line about this problem but it has been too long ago for me to remember where. I have shot about 300 rnds through my vz since and it is still working. Good luck!
field strip is a negative (WTF!!!!!) , really dont want to send it out but getting this apart with out breaking something seems impossible . Im sure someone here knows how to get these buggers apart .
let see ill buy a six pack for the person that has the info on gettin this one apart !!!
thanks CoAr15 and RMGO members for the help .

I bought a second one and it did the same thing. How did you get yours fixed? My first one took 3 weeks and time running to fedex so I'd prefer to fix it myself if possible.
