View Full Version : RI father's threat of vengeance...
Foolish bravado? Sincere? Who knows but...I wish him the best (and success) should the state "give him the opportunity." Frankly, I'm surprised this "alleged cannibal" hasn't been terminated while down, da' boys don't appreciate high-profile child killers in their house.
You get out alive and you get out early...ok...now you have a grieving father with ~35 years of pent-up pain and anger on your ass.
Accused cannibal to be released from Rhode Island prison early (http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/crime_files/accused-cannibal-to-be-paroled-from-rhode-island-prison)
John Foreman said, "I do intend, if this man is released anywhere in my vicinity, or if I can find him after the fact, I do intend to kill this man."
If I intended to kill someone, the last thing I'd to is tell the media about it.
angry father aside, the guy is an idiot.
oh well, maybe he has nothing to live for and will really enjoy prison.

I think I would feel the same way. I hope he gets his chance[Beer]
A swift boot to the skull of the killer, and the judge should square things up a little.

Maybe someone will do the father a favor before the guy gets out...

lol I'd laugh if someone offs the guy and the dad doesn't have an alibi

Having been the family member of a person that was murdered. I can sympathize with how this guy feels.
Sometimes you just have to let off some steam. And if the boy's father wants to say something like that, then so be it. I won't judge him.

maybe he went to the media to pollute the jury pool. everyone who hears his story will feel bad for him, and feel vengenance is right. So, he is smart like a fox.
or he is an idiot and should have killed him quietly.
I'm building my case for insanity daily.. what 'sane' person would admit to the media that they intend to kill someone :)

I have to admit that I'd never say such a thing in public. I think for a parent, the death of a child is the worst thing in the world and such a horrible thing would put me over the edge. I hope that Dad doesn't get in trouble (or caught). I hope the cannibal gets hit by lightning.

Wasn't there a story a few years back where a father was waiting at a payphone at hte San Francisco airport when his childs killer was brought through - and killed the guy. Then he immediately surrendered - and was eventually NOT found guilty in court?

His 11 year old son was molested by his karate instructor but was not killed. He ended up getting 5 years probation for shooting the guy in the head. There used to be video of it online but I can't find it.

If they were closer I would help the father.

Cool video. Guess the cops didnt expect anyone to try and take the guy out upon return. Only 5 years probation. If someone were to harm one of my children I am pretty sure I would want and would probably seek revenge.
last thing I would do is say anything if I was planning anything. sounds like BS big talk to me. If he had a screen name here I would tell him to post pics or it didn't happen.[ROFL1]

If someone did what this guy did to one of my kids, the only place they would be safe would be prison. I'd like to see how smooth your mouth would be running if you were in the dads shoes.
Your chances of getting probation or acquittal for premeditated homicide are pretty slim. You're more likely to win the lottery. If you do something like that you are probably going to prison for the duration.

well, sorry.

I never said the dad was in the wrong, or that his son's killer deserves to go free. if retribution is his goal, I wish him all the best in obtaining it. But announcing your plan to the world first is just plain stupid. Had he not done that he could have pulled a gary plauchet on the guy then claimed the shock of seeing his son's killer made him snap. not any more, tho. he flushed his insanity defense. and now if something bad happens to the bad guy, who do you think the cops are going to look at first? it may be "fucked up" as you say, but it's true. If you want to look up to a guy for being an idiot, more power to ya.
cebu asked foolish bravado or sincere?
I think it's sincerely foolish bravado.
if I was in the dad's shoes you wouldn't see how smooth my mouth would be running because I'd keep it shut.

Looking up to someone and feeling a sliver of compassion are two different things. His kid was murdered and then eaten. I'm sure that living with that could drive someone a little crazy. If it happened to one of my kids, no question what I would do.
oh, I feel a sliver of compassion for the guy too.
still think he's an idiot for making those comments tho.

Seek a Letter of Marque and Reprisal from Congress; according to Article 1.8.11 of the Constitution?

When you want something done really right, hire a professional...
Not like the guy that paid a bum $5,000 to off his wife with a hammer, but then the wife fought back and defeated the bum. I think that happened like 10 years ago.
Arrange an airtight alibi...like being in police custody on a misdemeanor, while the killer has a tragic accident involving falling feet first into a wood chipper...
just sayin....

I hear the next coupon deal on LivingSocial is a discount price on a combo package of a 12' fiberglass ladder and an industrial wood chipper. So.....I could totally see that happening.
well lets see.
2 wrists, 2 elbows, 2 ankles, 2 knees.. that's 8, plus one to grow on.. and golly gee don't they make revolvers in .22 that hold nine? how serendipitous.
but then again, that could hurt your case.

I KNOW I could not keep my trap shut, I would explain, in detail, just how I would kneecap the fuckstick with the largest blunt object I could wield, tie him to a tree in the mountains and pour honey all over the worthless pile of shit.

The father should have stayed quiet and declined to comment to the press. Now if anything happens to convict he will be suspect.
After all this time he should have been able to be patient, wait a while for everyone to forget about event and then hunted cannibal down and spent all the time he wanted torturing him before finally killing him in the most atrocious manner he could think of.
Success usually goes to those willing to patiently plan and execute, not immediatley spout and bluster.
