This is my sporting clay gun and I also hunt pheasants with it.
Remington 1100 sporting 12 that was tricked out by Ballistic Specialties.
Barrell has been back bored with a diamond hone to .735, forcing cone lengthend out to 3", barrell has been angle ported, action has been polished, trigger job set to 3.5lbs. and a trigger over travel stop installed. Came with 4 custom extended choke tubes.

This is my home defense gun Mossburg 500 pursuader 20" barrell. I keep it loaded with Remington 3" mag nitro express 00 buck.

This is my SxS Zaballa 10ga. with 34" barrells. It will reach out and fold a canadian goose at 80yds. It will also make you see stars for about ten minutes when it malfunctions and both barrells let go at once. I took it to a smith and got it fixed.

This errr well ahhh what more can I say the pic says it all. This gun is inbound so I do not have it yet. It's a Serbu Super Shorty Mossburg 500.

I also have a single shot .410 I am 3rd generation to have the gun my dad handed it down to me when I passed my hunters safety at 13 years old. I also have a Remington 870.

This is my 3-gun shotgun. It holds 9 in the tube, 1 in the chamber and 1 round "ghosted" on the carrier for a total of 11 rounds. Smithing by C-Rums and Triangle Shooting Sports.

Quail walks at the 5 stand on base is good fun. 25 rounds in maybe a minute and a half. All the old guys just shake their heads.

That's a choke tube not a round in the end of his barrel.

Glad somebody figured out what he was talking about.

Very nice shotgun Tom I will have to come to a 3 gun match and maybe give it a try one of these days.

rtr, you are the man. I was stumped. Glad to hear I was not the only one.

HunterCO, come on out to a 3-gun match. Its good fun. You might find michael_aos, rtr, Zak Smith, Alan Samuel, 7idl or myself playing with guns. I miss most Aurora matches as I am usually shooting Silhouette in Pueblo that same day.

Delphi, do these pics help? They are color coded so lazy boneheads like me remember what choke is installed.

oh... so what does a choke tube do??

HunterCO

oh... so what does a choke tube do??

It determines the size of the pattern the tighter the choke the smaller the pattern. Depending on what range your shooting at will determine what choke tube you use.

Now me, I almost NEVER change my chokes, cylinder and IC, sometimes modified, but I usually change shot size before I change the chokes. Some people change all the time, personnel choice I guess.

oh, and external are the way to go for sporting clays, easily changeable.
