just wondered if anyone else here has/shoots single shot pistols in rimfire calibers I have 2 contenders, one 22 lr, the other 22mag, both 10", and just acquired a Merrill Sportsman that has a couple 22lr barrels , among others, I have owned several others over the years, I find that most are capable of better accuracy than this shooter, they are fun to shoot and stretch your ammo dollars quite a bit, anyway , any other singles shot 22 pistol comments?
I have a Colt Lord derringer. It's not the same type of pistol you're talking about but I enjoy shooting it occasionally. I kinda like the feel of the history behind shooting old style guns.

I have owned several of the Colts you speak of, even had a Butler copy, surprises me that someone has not revived the design in a larger bore, not a magnum, but something big enough to use as a hideout gun
I had a 22LR "match" barrel for my Contender for a while. It was very accurate but just didn't give me the same warm, fuzzy feeling I got when I shot my handloads in all the centerfire caliber barrels. I would rather have a 22 Hornet barrel myself. I guess I am just not a big rimfire fan.

I've hunted with a .22 T/C for yrs. Just recently got a "can" for it. Opens up whole new possibilities. My favorite choice for suppressed work.
