My first Glock, also 10mm

Just picked up a Gen 3 Glock 20 the other day... never been a Glock guy, handled a 17 and a 22 before, they just didn't feel right. Maybe it's the larger frame of the G20/21 (it's NOT an SF), but this feels pretty good- haven't shot it yet, but it fits my hand much better than Glocks I've handled before.

I've wanted a 10mm for a while, been looking at S&W 1006 or 1076, but this one popped up cheaper, with accessories... figured I'd give Glock a chance.

From what I've read, a 22# recoil spring is recommended for full power loads- I also may look at a 40S&W barrel for it at some point... any other recommendations for the G20 platform? Anyone carry decent ammo in Colorado Springs area, or do I just go mail order? More pressure to start reloading, too [Coffee]

I use a 19# spring in my G20 with a full length stainless guide rod.

Enjoy the gun, I think the G20 is a great 10mm.

I have 200 rds of CCI 200gr FMJ for $90. Pretty hot loads! My Glock 20 is pretty big for my hands. When I bought my Glock 20 I also ordered 1k of brass from starline to make it cheap to shoot. No need for another barrel then.

G29 is on the top of my wish list. If I sell my G23 and buy one I think all of my 40 pistols will be gone:( But will have a G20, Colt Delta elite and G29 :)

4gunfun, that's not a bad situation to be in. I'd love to have that selection of 10's.

Anyway, for any of you 10mm fans who cast and load their own, there's a cool custom mold coming out on another website. PM me if you want details. Not what I can or can't post here. Anyway, it's a round nose .40 of various weights. Ever seen a RN 40/10? Me neither, but I can't wait to get it.

Is the delta worth the money? Even though the 10mm is expensive to shoot I love it.

My first Glock, too! Just ordered a G29 a week ago or so, and am hoping of course that it gets here soon. I've only handled one or two Glocks and I'm not even sure I've ever fired one--but sure didn't care for the ones I got closest to. Still, I believe most of the reviews and online comments regarding the 29 were extremely positive, and I expect no problems in getting accustomed to it.
