Mean Streets Tactical Training is pleased to announce our 2011 course offerings. MSTT strives to deliver Colorado’s best concealed carry handgun training for armed civilians, military operators, and law enforcement. This season, MSTT’s cadre has expanded our curriculum to push your skills farther than ever before. Each of our courses meets the requirement for CCW training and far surpasses what is commonly considered as CCW “certification training” in Colorado. Don’t be shortchanged in your training and warrior skills development. MSTT offers a 50% discount to active duty or reserve military. This class is designed to introduce the shooter to the defensive techniques required to carry a concealed weapon. This class meets Colorado’s requirements for concealed carry handgun certification. The student learns the skills to rapidly present their handgun from the concealed holster in a defensive threat environment. The student learns techniques to tactically load/reload their gun during a fight, manage stress, control their environment, and survive. Students will also be exposed to the concealed carry environmental conditions and techniques for carry methods: using public restrooms, maintaining a low profile, and proactive defensive tactics. This class is a shooting school and not a classroom based event. All activities are conducted on the range using dry practice drills followed by live fire exercises. The class is intended for students of all levels from beginner to advanced warriors.

This class is designed to teach the defensive concealed carry permit holder the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The course will introduce the MSTT Threat Diamond defensive engagement model. The student will learn to increase the speed of their presentation from holster, perform tactical and emergency reloading, treat malfunctions, ambidextrous shooting, shooting one handed, increase trigger control, shooting to the sides and rear, and combat mindset. Force on Force drills will be used to reinforce the techniques and increase the pace of learning.

Advanced Defensive Handgun Combatives- Module 2 Zero to Ten Feet Fighting (http://meanstreetstactical.blogspot.com/2011/01/advanced-defensive-handgun-combatives.html)
This class is designed to teach the defensive concealed carry permit holder the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The course will build upon the MSTT Threat Diamond defensive engagement model. The student will learn to deploy their defensive handgun from various unconventional positions from contact distances to ten feet. This class will develop the student’s ability to shoot while on the move using both hands equally. This is a highly dynamic course that emphasizes decision making, speed, unpredictability, and combat mindset. Force on Force drills will be used to reinforce the techniques and increase the pace of learning.

This class is designed to teach the defensive concealed carry permit holder the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The course will build upon the MSTT Threat Diamond defensive engagement model. The student will learn to deploy their defensive handgun from various unconventional positions while on the ground and in or around vehicles. The student will learn vertical displacement as a tool for fighting around cover and reducing the probability of getting impacted during a fight. The student will also learn to protect a noncombatant using simple techniques derived from the executive protection industry. Force on Force drills will be used to reinforce the techniques and increase the pace of learning

Advanced Defensive Handgun Combatives- Module 4 Structures and Low Light Fighting (http://meanstreetstactical.blogspot.com/2011/01/advanced-defensive-handgun-combatives.html)
This class is designed to teach the defensive concealed carry permit holder the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The course will build upon the MSTT Threat Diamond defensive engagement model. The student will learn to deploy their defensive handgun from various unconventional positions while moving in a structure. This class will develop the student’s ability to use cover and concealment while making movement either outside or inside a structure. Emphasis will be placed on doors, corners, and objects typically found in an urban area. The student will learn to deploy their defensive handgun from various unconventional positions during low light conditions. Research has shown that most defensive engagements happen during nighttime or lowlight hours. The CCW carry permit holder must learn to use the cover of darkness to their advantage. The course emphasizes the use of the combat flashlight and displacement techniques to manage the environment. Force on Force drills will be used to reinforce the techniques and increase the pace of learning

Kalashnikov Combatives for the AK47/74 Rifle
This class is designed to teach the defensive rifle warrior the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The student will learn to deploy their AK47 or AK74 Kalashnikov rifle in close quarters and urban combat conditions. The class is based on the Russian Army’s proven training techniques. This is a combatives class that will allow the shooter to zero their rifle and shoot it from various shooting positions and distances. The course will emphasize AK specific operations, efficient gun handling, marksmanship, range estimation, speed, agility, ambidextrous shooting, and the use of various unconventional positions. The class is built upon principals used by the Russian Army to train soldiers to engage threats from various distances and to keep their AK series rifle operational. A former Russian Army AK specialist guest instructor will be on hand to help students master their AK rifle.

This class is designed to teach the defensive rifle warrior the skills required to decisively engage a threat and deal with the stress of a combat environment. The student will learn to deploy their AR15 or M4 battle rifle in close quarters and urban combat conditions. The class is based on the proven training techniques developed on the field of battle over the last ten years. This is a combatives class that will teach the shooter to deploy their rifle from various unconventional shooting positions.
