Are any of you northern members interested in a May 20th shoot at 7&72?
Or, (if It's just the Fort Collins contingent - Pawnee?)
I know I'm not up for the 3 hour drive to the Official South Shoot this month, but lets see if we can get a few people together anyway.

yes, for the people who live too far north to come to it. Just like some folks from down south don't often come up to the north ones :)

Thanks In Advance. Maybe i can bring an extra portable grill and we can make some burgers and brats for lunch, What do you all think?

copying from an earlier thread:
Go west on 66 to lyons, follow it through town and turn left on hwy 7. go up into the mountains 13 or 14 miles till you see a callbox, near the junction to 72. The callbox is on the left side of the road, park on the right side where the signs are. Walk over the little hill and have fun shooting!

It is right where Highway 72 meets highway 7 about 100 yds east of 72 on 7 there is a call box on the south side of the road. The shooting range is on the north side you cant miss it. There is plenty of parking on the south side.

Head west out of Lyons on 7, when You come to a call box, Stop You are there. [wink] If You reach 72, You'e gone 200 yrds to far. Go up the hill on the north side of the road, and You have arrived.

I need to test-fire my M4 anyway. I just dropped-in a new Wolff trigger spring and KNS anti-walk pins (my trigger pin was walking last shoot). So I will be there early regardless. Hope some will make it without detracting from the South shoot.

Looks like 7 or more could make it to this one!
I'll try to get there around 9:30. I might even bring my mother, is anyone bringing an FA gun? It would sure be a riot to see her dump a mag on auto.
I haven't even told her we do assault rifles yet. :twisted:

Thanks Ryan!! Very tempting offer, but the drive south is a brute from Fort Collins. We are on a tight schedule Saturday so it's just not feasible.
I hope to meet you some other time and take you up on that myself. :mrgreen:

I found out yesterday that I don't have to work tonight but I do saturday night.

Therefore, to get some sleep before work I think I'll head up north instead of down south to maximize shooting time and minimize travel time.

To do:

Sight in 10/22 now that I've got proper rings for the weaver rail.
Make sure this Silver Bear zinc coated steel ammo works in the FAL.
Make sure the pair of new metric FAL mags work (it's an inch gun).
Strech the legs on the pair of new 13rnd G21 mags.

um... I think I'm forgetting something but I don't know what.

Not sure when I will make it to a south shoot, but it seems there's a big crowd from the springs/south that I'll have to meet sometime.
Do you get to North shoots very often?

And the turnout was....
meateater, 2ndChildhood, psychoI3oy, merl, and my mom.
She was getting real stoked shooting the spinner target.
After starting her on the 22, she tried the 9 and then the AR.
She said "I think I'll stick to the 22."
We met a real nice guy who's saving up for an AR, told him to come to the site.

And dangitall that was fun!!

I can not belive that i missed this one as well, DAMN. Well i will make it to
