View Full Version : The saddest thing you will ever see.

Translation:
We are in Arahama area. Looks like there is a dog. There is a dog. He looks tired and dirty. He must have been caught in the tsunami. He looks very dirty.
He has a collar. He must be someone's pet. He has a silver collar. He is shaking. He seems very afraid.
Oh, there is another dog. I wonder if he is dead.
Where?
Right there. There is another dog right next to the one sitting down. He is not moving. I wonder. I wonder if he is alright.
The dog is protecting him.
Yes. He is protecting the dog. That is why he did not want us to approach them. He was trying to keep us at bay.
I can't watch this. This is a very difficult to watch.
Oh. Look. He is moving. He is alive. I am so happy to see that he is alive.
Yes! Yes! He is alive.
He looks to be weakened. We need to them to be rescued soon. We really want them rescued soon.
Oh good. He's getting up.
It is amazing how they survived the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. It's just amazing that they survived through this all.
Supposedly they got them both to a vet.

I just don't even want to watch. I can't stand seeing dogs suffering.
Not watchin' it either. Can't.
Yep I didn't watch it either.
Glad they made it to the vet though!
i have to say it did bring tears to my eyes, then tears of joy when the other dog moved. I even yelled out for joy, my wife looked at me from the kitchen with that what the hell look
Yeah certainly felt better when the other dog started moving around...

Its ok to watch, you don't see any suffering ... and with the translation you know it ends well.
I wonder if those dogs were pals before the quake
So this doesn't have one of those Final Destination type endings then?

Saw the story on the news last night-very cool. [Beer]

+1...won't watch it...I have no problem with "streets littered with human bodies" but animals in distress...I don't handle it well.

That's awesome. Makes me want to go hug my dogs.
The more I deal with people, the more I love my dogs....
Sorry, just in a real crappy mood this morning...it'll pass

no kidding.
my buddy had a dog that would run away all the time. if it wasn't locked up in the back yard it was gone.
if I had a dog that did that, I wouldn't go look for it.

Futurama paid tribute to Hachiko in one of the episodes from the original series...

I can't watch stuff like this. I love dogs more than I do most humans. But if it were an Elk or a Deer I'll do my part and put it down!

Turns out their rescue is no longer confirmed. They have asked the purported rescuer for some photographic evidence, and they have yet to respond...

Why is it that some of us have pointed a gun at a human being and pulled the trigger without the same effect as when you see sad dog, get misty and go "awwwwww"? Mans best friend I guess, but I was definitely in the "awwwwww" group!

That must be it! Of course dogs are far cuter than most humans and give you unconditional love. Hard to find that in humans except for parents and children (which always gets me too).
