I have an olympic arms ar with a fixed carry handle. I want to switch out the upper to one without the carry handle (flat top, picatinny rail). I want to use the barrel i already have, but remove the standard front sight post and replace it with one of those picatinny gas blocks, to mount a folding buis that wont obstruct the LOS of the optic. Does anybody know where i can get the parts/labor from on the cheap? Or is cheaper to just buy a complete upper?

Well, if you Buy the Upper from us, I will put it together for you. Labor on that is a service for buying the parts.
Now, this is assuming no weird out of spec, blind pinned, welded, epoxied, locked with voodoo curse kinda stuff going on, but swing by and we can get you set up.
I should have uppers in stock again here shortly.

Are you talking about a complete upper or switching my barrel to a new upper? And idk about the crazy voodoo stuff, its all factory work, if that tells you anything.

Just checked out the website. That daniel defense upper may be an option, with one of those picatinny gas blocks you guys have.

We primarily carry DD and CMMG upper receivers, but can get many others. I'll switch it all around for you for the cost of the components as long as i don't have to cut metal.
Swing by the shop some time, and we can discuss your plans and decide the best course of action.
If you do choose to source components elsewhere (everybody finds great deals some times. we wont hold it against you) swing by and i'll quote the work separately, but it likely wont cost much.
