I was watching some tactical arms show on some station, and I had to laugh. This guy had every tactical option on his firearms, teaching the viewers valuabke lessons on survival.
He was probably 5'6" and weighed 350 pounds. How about trying to run a mile lol. He admitted no military training, and no law enforcement training
Sorry i just had to vent watching all these tactical pros lol. I think we all need to get together and get a show on us. Lol.

Wow, ok. I thought this was a forum. I did not think it would really be this hard to just have a person answer a simple question for me. Yes I googled it, just was asking. Alot of you on here say to go to the forums to get to know people on this site. I have had about 12 great trades in the firearms for sale thread without a problem. Met some good people, that I talk to everyday. I come into this general thread to talk and get questions answered and I get treated like a third grader, and calles ignorant, you all cant just say ar15.com? I dont understand that. I was warned by the people I trade with that alot of you are this way. Just did not believe it. I guess I found out.
Shooting is a great family sport. There are new people coming into it everyday. Alot of them do not have all the answers. I fear that certain peoples attitudes could scare these people off from asking questions. This was supposed to be a friendly conversation.

Ill agree that some one talking to me about tactics and tactical equipment usually bores me to death . unless they start out with books and physical fitness and then i might be inclined to think that they know what they are talking about . Yes i believe true tactics and being tactical has nothing to do with the rail on your gun .
Alot of them do not have all the answers.
Exactly why you're being directed to answer the (off topic) question for yourself. Why you would take offense to this is beyond me. If anything it's a compliment that we're not spoon feeding you due to inability to fend for yourself. I would rather be taught to fish than given a fish. That's just me though.

There's more to forums than asking basic questions that can be just as easily typed into a Google search. If that's all you think this or any forum is for then your stating you are no longer posting won't be too much of a loss to the community.

and by the way... "ignorance is bliss" is not necessarily a slight, it means that you are somewhat blessed not to have had misfortune endure the chaos that is arfcom. It really is a train wreck.

Ok, lets just end this lil over the computer feud. Thank you for the answer. It seemed to me that it would have been easier to just type ar15.com than throw out useless comments. On sites like gun and game thats what we do, we just help each other out. Thank you for explaining that you did not mean it like you were calling me ignorant. And i did check that site, and damn its weird! Thanks and hope we all got a nice warm and fuzzy feeling again.
We aren't very warm and fuzzy, well maybe fuzzy just look at some of the pics in the put a face to it topic.

A lot of people here aren't big fans of ARF. To me, it seems the way not to run a site. There's a lot of good info but you have to dig through a lot of manure to get it. There's also a lot of arbitrary banning of people and downright nastiness to those who aren't into the official opinions. (Almost as bad as the M14 people.)
This place does have some serious teasing and the for sale section does inspire some heat at times.

all teasing aside , CoAr15 is a great site , so far i have gotten both kinds of responses to my questions . Some times there is a know it all but thats ok too , as they know it all . BUt smart a** comments do take some getting used to.
