So the last three transactions I have done here went perfectly and could not say anything bad about the folks I've met, or the deal that was had. That being said, Why don't people leave feedback? I try to make a point to leave feedback from people and I PM them to let them know that I have done so. Is it really too much trouble to take 30 seconds and say that your deal went as agreed? The feedback forum is the only reputation we have in this virtual area, and I know that I look up feedback before I deal with somebody. looks to me that only about 30% of people leave a good word, or even a bad word for what it's worth.

I know what you mean, for the number of people who have left me feedback there are three times the amount who haven't. As for the many reasons for not leaving feedback lack of initiative is probably #1. Many browse the site to solely buy or sell and once they have they disappear. Others wish to remain anonymous and don't wish to have a "sale trail" on what they have bought or sold for whatever reasons. Most of the regulars here will leave feedback. Not a whole lot you can do about those who don't.
I can think of at least 12 smooth deals off the top of my head that went smooth w/o getting any feedback from the other party; think it's from the influx of newbs in the market?? A few of em weren't newbs *cough*richkenlevi*cough*
Don't you have enough feedback Graves

I know I am going to catch hell for this:
If the person wont leave you feedback after a little nudge,
Hey, I know you are probably busy or forgot but could you leave feedback for me at: ____LINKY______Perhaps you can go back and edit your feedback for them to include this little nugget of information.
After requesting this person leave a feedback for the sale I waited another week and feedback was never added.
I know sometimes we all get busy, little things get overlooked.
Life gets a little busy with Diapers, Yuky nose, Cheerios, Daddy I want apple, Doctors appointments, interviews, family appointments, Wifey's Honey-do list... ARRGHH!
:D
Some people just don't leave feedback, even when they say they will (it's happened to me before). I usually tell the person I'm making a deal with, whether I'm buying or selling, that I'll leave them feedback and the usual response is "I will too". Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't.

probably for me anyway is my board name is only 3 letters. do a search using 3 letters and it tells you it is to short to do a search. perhaps the mods can adjust this for feedback only or when typing in a name. either way i am getting shorted. perhaps when i can think strait i will pm one of them......

Do people generally do feedback for buyers or only sellers? Posted feedback for all my transactions and assumed I got nothing back due to being the buyer.

Every transaction buyer or seller should have some sort of feedback. It may not seem like a big deal to some, but we are doing private party sales of Firearms and Firearm accessories etc. Knowing rather or not, the person you are getting ready to sell your $2,000 AR to, is worthy or not, is kind of a big deal IMO. There have been a few transactions i've made, where I left feedback and none was left for me, they were noobs.
Feedback should be left for both buyer and seller.
I think it is only polite and fair to do so.

I had a deal where I was offering a great deal on an item. Went out of my way to meet with the guy and he wanted to act the big shot, keeping me waiting for nearly 15 minutes while he yakked on the phone, then trying to conduct the deal with hand gestures while he yakked on his bluetooth the whole while, shorted me five bucks then wanted to argue about it and even went so far as to look up the sales thread on his big screen computer monitor to double check the price before handing over the measly five bucks.
It didn't feel right to leave positive feedback so I chose not to say anything at all. He didn't leave feedback for me either, and that is fine.

in advanced search "Jim*" in "Titles Only"
I,ve left feedback for all of the purchases that I've made and believe it important to do so. Some have been kind enough to leave feedback for me. It's important to know both buyer and sellers reputation because we only have that to judge weather or not we will have problems. We are only as good as our word and some dont keep their word.

Lol.
I know that I have left feedback for every transaction I've had the pleasure to have conducted, usually within a couple of minutes of the transaction taking place, or at least as soon as I had access to a compuker (I hate typoing in my phone). Most have left feedback for me as well, and others I have never seen post again. Maybe I'm just that repellent a personality that they fled the site screaming....[Tooth]

Strangely before today I never thought to check the forum and one of the people had left me feedback. No surprise I am sure that "Ah Pook" was on the ball.
Point being I guess had I looked over a month ago I would have noticed that I had some feedback lol (thus negating the need to ask if buyers get feedback).

I don't want to leave feedback or have feedback left for me, because nobody else on this forum needs to know I just bought the firearm you had for sale.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out, You have a firearm for sale that gets posted as sold, and I post feedback for you, or you post feedback for me. Gee, I wonder who just bought your AR or whatever.
I think the phrase " Private Sale " says it all.
I would prefer no feedback wheather buying or selling.

When I was new, I didn't know it was important. I try to leave feedback now but I probably forget sometimes.
