CASTLE ROCK — Republicans today elected Ryan Call as the new chairman of the state party, giving him a runaway victory that required only one round of voting. Call, the legal counsel for the Colorado Republican Party, needed more than 138 votes to win on the first round. He got 166.6 votes during balloting..."
Among the Republicans who hailed his victory was Kelly Maher, with the consevative blog WhoSaidYouSaid. "I think it's a big win for young people in our party," she said. "I think it's absolutely critical that we attract and engage a new generation."
Call, who succeeds chairman Dick Wadhams, begins immediately.
