How come all of a sudden random words are being linked to other websites? It is very annoying.

Ok, so if it is my computer or browser, how do I get rid of it? I use Firefox and Windows XP Pro. It seemed to have happened when the server to this forum got updated.

sounds like you inadvertently installed some sort of addon or maybe a search toolbar.

Go up to "Tools" and then "addons" and see if there are any items under "extensions" that might be causing the issue.

Yup, it was a stupid add-on. Also checked for viruses. None found.

Add Adblock Plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/). Not only will this help with the linked problem (which it sounds like you got fixed), but will also rid your web-surfing experience of all ads. It's a great tool for FF.
