I have a single action Heritage Arms .22 LR revolver with changeable cylinder to
.22 Magnum. It is broken. I took it to a gunsmith that said he couldn't find a
part to replace it and the gun is probably cheap enough that it wouldn't be
worth fixing.

If this is the case I don't want a paperweight lying around the house. What
should I do with it? Any suggestions?

Donate it to my paperweight collection [Tooth]

Lets make it a group project to fix. We'll get the entire forums looking for the missing parts and play a day around shooting it this summer somewhere outside ;?) A reason for a meet and greet?

Heritage is still in business. They can probably fix it for you for a reasonable price.

HOW CAN I RETURN AN OUT-OF-WARRANTY FIREARM FOR REPAIR
In the same manner as if it were under warranty. The only difference is that we will call you after our initial inspection and give you an ESTIMATE OF REPAIRS. These repairs can be paid by credit card or money order. Dealers can mail a company check with a copy of their FFL. There is NO CHARGE FOR BENCH TIME. We will only charge for the replaced part plus $30.00 for shipping and handling.
NOTE: We no longer have cylinder hands, barrels or cylinders for 22 caliber Rough Riders having serial numbers HR 00000 to HR 49000. All other parts are still available. Please call before sending us a Rough Rider for repair.Phone: 305 685 5966

Thanks everyone. I will get in touch with Heritage and find out what they say.

If they can't help we will try the group project...sounds like fun

You should use it to declare that you have a pistol with you on every flight for the rest of your life and get through security faster.

Don't laugh but when they tried that on the wife she cut up a map, put it in a box and marked it "grid Squares" and gave it back to the man. [Coffee]

You are stuck in a classic paradox. You like the firearm but is it worth fixing? That is something only you can decide.
I have had people bring me cheapo items that just by loading it, you double the value. But it is their firearm and if they want it fixed, then we fix it.
If you dont get anyplace with Heritage give me a yell. I am getting pretty good at finding parts for obsolete items.

If you find it cannot be repaired or it will cost you more than you want to spend, hang on to it.
One of these municipalities is bound to have a "Buyback" program and you can get a couple of tickets to a Rockies game or similar for it.

What you don't know is that I was the king at tormenting new soldiers. Your box of grid squares will have to be thrown out

I've got a good supply of chem light batteries but I could use a new HMMWV carburetor. I'm also completely out of ST-1s.
