It's taken since December to get this far, the cabinets are by TimK and they are very very nice. It's not done but I can finally post a shot of it:

I did that about 10 years ago. Your old cabinets were better than mine. I described my old ones as a "Velvet Elvis Painting" I did move the kitchen around as well. Not high class but a 500% improvement over what was there.

Yours looks very nice and if it was anything like mine it was 75% cheaper than a contractor.:)

Wow very nice. I almost did my kitchen last summer then decided to pay some bills off. Then I almost remodeled my bathroom but I took my wife to Mexico instead. I really need to quit putting these projects on the backburner. Might have to contact Tim when I'm ready for some cabinets....those are sweet!!

That looks amazing...

Now I feel stupid looking at the projects I have done around my house...

Thanks

Looks pretty nice. Did you do something to compensate for the loss of cupboard space? Besides throwing stuff away.

Thanks! We actually gained about 30% in cabinet space. I'll post up a couple more pics in a week or two as I get it all done. Note that there are drawers in the toe kicks of the cabinets too

Wow, really wow!!! Having grown up in NYC I have trouble with those things you guys call tools. I'm just getting used to trees and grass you can actually lay a blanket down on and not want to disinfect later. Gotta make sure my wife never looks at that photo. Great job.

Scratchy has good skills. We've worked with a lot of homeowners over the years, and he's one of the best we've encountered. If I could afford a guy like him, I'd be trying to hire him.

Bring on the rest of the pics, it's looking very good. The tile backsplash behind the range is outstanding. Nice work.
