Here are some pics of my Golani fitted with the "direct-from-Israel" HG, P-grip, and latest GEN folding stock. A little info that I was able to glean from the internet is that this is a VERY early Caspian receiver that is apparently superior to the older ORF efforts. This particular rifle has the FSB without the bayonet lug which, as I understand, is how it came from the factory. Some had lugs, some didnt. I replaced the original furniture because it was surplus that Century simply bead blasted in an effort to make it look better. They actually did a good job but it was clearly well worn. The new stuff, I got from akpartskits.com who I discovered AFTER I ordered that they used to be Hesse, etc... so, I was a bit nervous. However, the parts are SUPERB and are NEW as advertised. They got here in a very timely manner and there were great COMMS while I was waiting.

On to the pics:

As you can see, the stock looks a little tapco-esque but I was assured that it is IMI and the latest type. I inlayed the selector markings on the left side but not the right yet as I am thinking of refinishing the rifle as IMI did their original import Galils with a good black painted finish on the receiver and gas tube but not the barrel, GB or scope mount groove. As it is now, the park finish is decent but the colors arent exactly unifor, which indicates they were in a hurry to refinish and get them boxed.

So, I need all your opinions on how it looks and if you all think I should continue to polish the turd with a refinish and a few extra things I am thinking of doing, like replacing the GB with a lugged one... Meanwhile, enjoy the pics.

Thanks to all who bought my stuff to make the furniture possible!!! [Beer]

Looks good JIMUSMC!!!!!
I really enjoy mine, little recoil and is a blast to shoot.
I plan on keeping it exactly as I got it.
All I did was purchase more mags from Century.

The difference in the parkerizing is because the parts were done in different batches. Old Garands are that way also. If a Garand is the same on every part, it has been re-parked.

Follow the instructions very carefully...

go get a bucket of dirt and sand...
cover the golani in it
take it out of the crud
and your done...

I like rough looking battlerifles, but that's just me...
