I peek on there from time to time, but haven't signed up because I don't want to donate to RMGO

I buy and sell there frequently. I haven't met anyone shady. Some of the prices are kinda ridiculous but the same can be said for some of the things on this site. That's not the fault of the site or site management...it's up to the seller to set a price and a buyer to pay or not.

There are definitely deals to be had on both sites and both are great places to sell...at least that's been my experience.

Having said that, some of the things I've seen from RMGO lately are making me a little hesitant to renew. I'm still thinking it over.

Never seen anything there that I went after, the price for USED there is more than I can get NEW from my friend who owns a gun store. I've eyeballed a few that I've been interested in but could never want to spend money just to email the person listing it...

i have tried to sell a couple there. no luck. but, its a another location, with more exposure to sell your stuff. nothing wrong with it.

some of the guys sell tons and tons of guns. and they also sell them on here. we all know who.

prices are decent most of the time. try armslist for super overpriced stuff..

recently everyone seems to be selling smith Jframes for ridiculous prices. They are $380 new for the 642 and the 442. i have seen a bunch of those for sale on both cologunmarket and armslist and here actually for $450-500 used. WHY?

Yeah, I guess over priced stuff can be found everywhere. Like someone already said, it's up to the seller to establish a price, however the buyer will decide if said seller receives asking price. One example is the new Kimber Solo. Those can be had brand new at GMG for $629 +tax, I saw them somewhere (maybe here [Tooth]) for nearly $200 more USED, again the buyer will determine if the seller gets that or not.

It's not the website. If you look enough at either website, you will find that certain individuals post a lot of stuff, consistently above market price. Just ignore them and scan for the real deals.

I do prefer the format and website appearance of Co-15.

there've been allot of pretty silly prices out there of late.

I have considered throwing my Ruger KP944 + Mag + SIX! Magazines and Ammo out there for ~$700

because I had the ramp polished... it makes it "Custom"

or paint it black, and then it'll be tactical!

Both what?

As for price, I see high, decent, and low at all the sites I visit.

Usually too late for the low ones. [ROFL1]

cologunmarket requires a minimum annual donation of $30 to post there and everyone's name, address, email, and usually phone # is on file with RMGO. I haven't seen what you are talking about when you say "shady" or "place to dump guns."

If you want to see that, take a look at armslist. Free and anonymous. Check out the WTB posts: "I lookin ta buy me a Glock, any Glock." or "I need a small cheep pistol and I got cash money." It is almost as scary as the idiots who are trying to buy and sell guns on craigslist (those ads are usually flagged within the hour, but they're funny while they last).

What things have you seen that make you hesitant to renew? I have kinda had my head in the sand the last couple of months and have not been following what they are doing. I just renewed with them a month or so ago.

It's a bad site. None of you guys looking to buy, should ever go there. Just leave all the deals for me!!! [ROFL1]

I think it's a great site and I have met a ton of good dudes there and got a lot of great deals. Just like any where else, you have to watch what you are doing and make sure you are dealing with respectable people. I check everyones ID to make sure they are legit. There will over priced stuff no matter where you go but I have found some great deals there. I need to renew my membership.

prices are pretty high, there is an occasional deal though. just tough since you have to be a paying member to sell, so most "newbies" or "1 timers" aren't going to spend the $30 to join and would rather sell it to their buddy or sell by word of mouth.

a lot of the people on there are multiple sales people. not a bad thing in my opinion and I could care less...but the atf might not think the same way as me.

There is one guy on there who has been selling a LOT of military style firearms. I was told that ATF did check him out and everything was fine.

Most guys who sell are "multiple sales people." A lot of the guys I know sell, buy, or trade a gun in their collection every month. Sometimes you see an expensive gun you want and need to sell off some of your collection to buy it. I've seen guys sell off half their collection to pay for a new transmission in their truck or cover medical bills. And if money is tight a lot of guys feel obligated to sell a gun every time they buy a gun.

It took me a few years of buying, selling, and trading to find the guns I like best. Sometimes it can be weight or caliber or the way it feels in your hand that makes you want to get rid of a particular gun, other times it can be something as simple as you don't care for the trigger pull or you found another gun that is exactly or almost the same and don't need two or three.

I got my first gun ( after being away from guns for many years ) from cologunmarket.

It's a rather good deal to be honest but like others have said .. The prices in general do seem higher.

Maybe since we have gotten to " know each other" Around here I think some of the posts on there seem gruff...

I"m pretty sure that kind of post means they're totally legit and not the bad guys at all!

A few times in the past I've posted a gun for sale on this site, and if it hadn't sold after a few days I'd post it on armslist as well. Some of the emails I got tripped all the alarms and I wouldn't even send them a reply. If you are an illiterate dirtbag I'm probably not going to take your word that you're a good guy and I'm definitely not going to meet you in crack central after dark to sell you a handgun. I'm not going to deal with someone like that at all. They don't even get my email address.

I rarely, almost never, find anything on the other site.
Most of the sellers there have high prices and their locations don't work for me. That said, I have gotten one or two deals on ammo.
I like this site a lot better. People here are a lot more realistic.

Cologunmarket (like CO-AR15) are two sites I check just about every day. There is a lot of overpriced stuff on there but there are gems from time to time. I've purchased 5-6 weapons from that list. I got my Saiga 12 from there a couple of years ago for $300 which was a pretty good deal (particularly now if they pass this tactical shotgun ban).

As for RMGO, I think there is a lot of tin hatted-ness going on around them thar parts, but the end result still agrees with what I believe in and the price of admission is cheap enough that I don't think too much about it. Of course, then again, I just paid a bit less than $100K cash for a car I wanted so I probably have more money than sense!

Multiple gun sales shouldn't be too much of an issue, if they keep setting everyone's post count back to ZERO.

Wonder why they did that?
