Have about 3500rds under my belt reloading for 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor bolt rifle. A couple weeks ago I had a case separate in my 6.5 chamber, scared the crap out of me. Got the stuck case out of the chamber with a 45acp cleaning brush and rod, thanks Hoser for the tip.

Been doing the feel technique bumping the shoulder when body sizing my cases. Size, chamber, close bolt..... Never had a problem.

Already had a Sinclair comparator body for checking OAL. Ordered the proper size should bump gauges to work with the comparator body. Using it and calipers, work OK, but the case, calipers, comparator moved around. Little tough to get a solid reading. Got to be a better way of measuring. Came up with this on sale $41 shipped. http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INPDFF?PMPAGE=409&PMITEM=625-8511 Drilled a hole through the Sinclair body, using a machine screw attached it with the shoulder gauge to the dial gauge. Works great, very accurate and consistent.

So now I have an accurate way of measuring the case shoulder, how do I make fine adjustments to the die? Came across this article.
http://riflemansjournal.blogspot.com/2009/08/reloading-headspace.html The O-ring method works great, easily able to make .001 adjustments.

Shot case measuring 0, sized case measuring -0015.
